Well, briefly before I get onto the subject I'd just like to say...
It's strange to be back again.
It has been nearly 5 months since I was last active here at LW.
But wow, does it ever feel like much longer than that!
Such a vast 'distance' covered in such a short amount of time...
Amazing :)

So. Onto the issue.
Zeitgeist Movement & The Venus Project
I doubt its a bright shiny new topic to many around here,
I myself first stumbled across Zeitgeist nearly two years ago.
But just incase, here's a short definition:

The Zeitgeist Movement is a worldwide grassroots movement advocating social change.
Most significantly that of society transitioning,
From a monetary based economy to a resource-based economy.

There are currently 3 main video's on the subject.
The Zeitgeist Movie, the Addendum, and the Orientation.
Although the orientation is text and audio only, it is probably my favorite
as the other 2 do express some strong opinions on institutions including religion
which I do not disagree with, but am aware that some individuals
May find it overly-controversial or possibly offending, and thereby reject
the other quality information presented out of loyalty to a belief of some kind.

However, the Venus Project is in fact one of the most innovative and revolutionary ideas
That I've encountered. And contrary to the pessimist and skeptics opinions, it is feasible (sp?)
Anyways, the way I see it, is that given proper support, we, the human race
Could REALLY patch this place, (earth) up if we pitch some effort in this direction.

So if you are willing to consider that our evolution may be being temporarilly held up.
And that this hold up MAY in fact be related to that fact that
we cling to a economic system based on profit through scarcity (the monetary system)
and that if we could find a way to shift into a global resource based economy
We could actually provide food, shelter, and education to every human being on the planet,
And live in a way that is friendly to the earth's ecosystems...
then you should google up some information and or videos
