A Return To The Real You.

I am writing this today, because I know that I am not the only person that feels this way...I am tired of feeling like I just want to "get away" from everything. We escape through various means: vacations, movies, shopping, sports, music...even through watching others suffer (no matter the pain we empathize, it is still not our own). Of course, none of these things really ease the anxiety we feel. Most of us haven't even acknowledged that we walk around feeling worried, judged, sad, inadequate.

We have forgotten, or have never known, who we really are inside.

This has not occurred naturally, but has been intended. My intention is that we may awaken, and reclaim our real selves. To re-member.

So, I woke up one morning, and all these things that bother me came rushing into my mind. I am sure that you can think of more.

-Constant killing on TV, in movies, video games...desensitizing us, and causing anxiety.
-Sexualization of children...through pageants, fashion, children cursing and commiting violence in movies, tv.
-Celebrity worship. They are people just like us.
-Music has become a very controlled business. Very little "soul" is coming through.
-No human contact. Everyone has their heads buried in cell phones, or they are listening to music, or playing video games. People can't relate to each other anymore. No caring.
-Obsession with youth, looks, fashion.
-We are being brainwashed by pharmaceuticals, food commercials, diet commercials, etc. Your brain is very powerful, it takes everything in!
-What is with all the vampire, witchcraft, werewolves. I mean really, on Disney channel?
-Overconsumption, overpopulation. Too much, no balance.
-Many of us have developed a constant need for stimulation. We cannot be with ourselves.
-We are constantly being force fed new celebrities, music, clothing, etc. Buy, buy, buy.

Directly after all of these thoughts came rushing into my mind, so followed a peaceful...and even, joyful feeling. I realized that by simply being aware, we can reclaim ourselves. So here are my power thoughts:

-It's okay to be bored sometimes. Boredom and silliness often spark creativity :)
-Compassion. Understand that this world has become very difficult for everyone, regardless of whether we are rich or poor.
-Let our children be children again. Stop overscheduling. Teach them the joy of books, art and nature. Dont buy into the whole "superstar" or video game thing. Kids should not be fashion conscious! :)
-Just because it's on tv, does not mean its "okay".
-I love to notice how sometimes I automatically judge people. We all do. But I love even more when I dont follow that judgement, and just allow them to be themselves. I am often surprised :)
-How about forgiving behavior, instead of all that drama? Talk, feel, empathize. As Dr. Wayne Dyer has said, stop looking for reasons to be offended.
-Love who you are and how you look. When we really do this, it opens the floodgates. We can look at everyone else with that same love.
-There is perfection in imperfection. I can look at a homeless person with the same reverence that I have for anyone else. I can even have amazement, because I see the persons path when I look through eyes of compassion.

Love is not something that is found outside. It is a feeling that is simply allowed from within. When you feel a little silly, that is a good sign. Let it flow!

It is important that we each fully awaken and be aware of what is happening during this time. I think that most of us are aware that things are just "not right" all over the world, we all feel it. I will say that energy is being manipulated, and we are a big part of it. However, I also know that we have nothing to fear. Ultimately we chose to be here during this time, whether we are aware of it or not. In the end, we either return Home, or we stay to help...that's okay with me :)
