"Birth"

Darkness is my home

Transforming truth to grow new life,

The comfort of this womb’s embrace

Protects even from death’s sharp scythe.

How I’ve come to love,

The fluids that create this home

A simple life of “squirms” and “kicks”

To this limited, loving dome.

I have come to feel

The complex growth of this body

Yet I know not where food spawns from

Even though it comes free to me.

What more would I want

As all my needs are truly met

The simple life is all I want

Here where it’s always wet.

But wait…

Just wait….

There is something not right!

My liquid home has drained somehow

And left without a sight!

I’m Scared! I’m Scared! What shall I do?

The pressures are unreal!

A voice tells me “Its time to go,

Its time to break the seal.”

Resistance was my first response

I knew not what to do.

I feared the outcome of this path

As this could not be true!

The voice again came to my aid

With words as soft as snow.

“I know you don’t know what will come.

It’s hard to see the flow.

“But trust me when I say this truth

As living it will tell

What waits for you beyond that path

Is love no one can sell.

“You know not where your life comes from

So I came here to say

A woman who defines beauty

Is who will show the way.

“So do not fear the sight of change

Just push through all the strain.

One look into her gorgeous eyes

Will be worth all the pain.

Somehow somehow the words got through

I though it could be right

So I let go of my control

And left to find the light.

Squeezing through this tight canal

Was far too much to bear

The constant thought of turning back

Seemed better than this dare.

But no! But no! I cant stop now

I have to move along

This quest for these enchanting eyes

Is now where I belong.

So even through this pain I feel

I must keep pushing on

The fear of this cold mystery

Has came and now its gone.

It seems as if an ending nears

As it is growing bright

I AM approaching a beginning

As I use all my might.

Light,

Pure luminescent radiance

Experienced by the raw physical eyes

For the first time.

Divinity…

True Ineffable Divinity….

Oh where oh where have I come to

The light is too surreal!

Keeping my eyes closed is the key

As sleep is my first meal.

The constant breath

Concentrated on the moment

That air first touches

Virgin lounges,

Not inevitably stopping

Until death’s touch.

Divinity…

I think I can open these eyes

As rest lifted my soul

Determination got me through

And brought me to this goal.

I finally open my eyes

To see you filled with love

With eyes as bright as moonlit nights

And a smile as white as a dove.

The first glance,

Mother into child’s eyes

And child into mother’s

A connection never severed

Even past death’s touch

Unconditional love at first sight
