ESSENCE: THE INDWELLING GOD

ESSENCE

ESSENCE is not born and does not die.
It exists before physical birth and after physical death.
ESSENCE in you is not different from ESSENCE in your brothers and sisters.
Bodies separate you from each other but ESSENCE unites you.

When you feel unloved, unworthy or cut off from others, you are forgetting your ESSENCE.
You think you are separate from other people and from God.
You could not judge or attack otherwise.

When you remember your ESSENCE, you remember your spiritual connection to all beings.
Attack is impossible when you remember who you are.

ESSENCE within you is wholly lovable and loving.

When you are in touch with your ESSENCE you know that each person,
including yourself, is acceptable exactly as s/he is.
You know that there is nothing about you are anyone else that needs to be improved or fixed.

To know your ESSENCE requires that you discard your judgements about yourself and others.

LIFTING THE VEIL

ESSENCE is not found in how life appears. That's just the veil.
To find ESSENCE, you must lift the veil.

ESSENCE is the truth of who you are.

It isn't the temporal, the changing, the inconstant.
It is the eternal, the unchanging, the constant, because

ESSENCE is love and never stops being LOVE.

If you aren't looking within, you can live your whole life and never know that ESSENCE exists.
You can think that life gave you a raw deal.
You can be bitter, resentful, angry.
There is nothing to be done about this if you insist on looking outside of yourself
for validation or approval.

An about-face is necessary.
You must turn to the place where ESSENCE abides.
You must look into your own heart.
You must find the place in you that is unconditionally aligned with LOVE.

You can't do this while you are blaming others or holding on to grievances.
Nor can you do it when you are feeling guilty and beating yourself up for making mistakes.
All judgement of self and others must go.

You must come to ESSENCE empty, with open arms.

REAL LOVE

Real love does not change.
It is formless, omnipresent, eternal.

It does not exist apart from you.

Once you know this in the depth of your heart and mind,
you will no longer need to search for happiness outside of yourself.
