Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are the three outer planets in our solar system. Uranus and Neptune are both giants, whereas Pluto is the dwarf. In Astrology, these planets are known as the ‘collective’ planets because they have the potential to bring about massive permanent alterations in the collective human consciousness.
The period 578-575 BC was the last time all three of these wise men came close to one another in the sky. This near conjunction prepared humanity for the birth of Siddhārtha Gautama thirteen years later. This man became known as the Buddha.[i]

The planet Pluto is the farthest from the Sun. In Greek mythology, Pluto is Hades, the god of the Underworld. Hades is the god of radical transformation, of evolution, death and rebirth. He is concerned with the larger cycles in our chronological history.

In the science of Astrology, Pluto rules our primitive instincts and our core emotions. When these erupt, they threaten to disempower us. So, for the past few years, Pluto has been making radical changes to our psyche. On a wider scale, it has been clearing out and destroying all that must die in order to make way for that which wants to be born. Although Pluto’s potential for destruction is huge, its potential for creation is equally great. As small as this dwarf is, it’s the most powerful planet in the entire solar system.

To the Greeks, the planet Uranus was Ouranos, the god of the Heavens. Uranus rules over freedom and the expansion of awareness. And it will do whatever it takes to obtain this, even if it means shattering the status quo. As the ‘great awakener,’ its attempts to liberate us are often unpredictable, unconventional and even shocking.
Two-thousand years ago, in the year 6 BC, Uranus moved into opposition with Pluto for a period of seven years. An opposition occurs when planets position themselves across from one another. Near the end of their seven-year dance, the entire world was shocked by the birth of the Christ child.

And the child grew and became strong in Spirit. Luke 1:80

In Astrology, a conjunction occurs when two planetary bodies move so close to one another that their individual energies actually become amplified. This event kicks off a cycle between these two bodies, the intent of which is to promote a growth in human consciousness. The Greeks call this a synodic cycle.

At the beginning of a synodic cycle, there is an involvement of God’s etheric Spirit with matter. Matter then develops until it reaches the halfway point in the cycle. At that time, if there is a growth in consciousness, evolution occurs. Otherwise, there is only a breakdown of matter.

The last time there was a conjunction between Pluto and Uranus was in 1965/66. This was a period that will never be forgotten by those who lived through it. During that conjunction, the World witnessed many surprising and radical events amidst the backdrop of the Vietnam War. The highlight of this period was the sudden appearance of the hippie counter-culture, whose desire was to break away from the ruling political establishment and establish peace.

As the 60′s progressed, young people all over Europe and North America began to unite in peace and love, and in the celebration of the dawning of this age of Aquarius. In the summer of 1967, one-hundred thousand young people gathered in San Francisco, California, creating a cultural phenomenon called the Summer of Love. That became a defining moment as the hippie movement moved into the collective consciousness and completely stunned America’s conservative middle class.

Now, Pluto and Uranus have met up with each other again, in the second event in this synodic cycle, which is the astronomical square. A square occurs when two planets form a 90 degree angle to one another. These two planets will actually form a series of seven 90 degree squares during this event, which spans the years 2012-2015.
The planets Uranus and Pluto are synonymous with the elements Uranium and Plutonium, the names for which actually take their origins from these planets. The last time they moved into a square was in 1929, during the previous synodic cycle.  It was at that time when the stock market on Wall Street crashed.

These two planets were in an exact square when the financial system broke down in the 1930s. The Populist Movement, which started with the establishment of the People’s Party, moved through the Great Depression where we saw mass disruptions and mass protests by thousands of unemployed workers.

As we have moved closer to 2012, we have witnessed that same shock and awe taking place on the World Stage.  The Greek word apocalypse means ‘disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception.’  This is what is required to finally pierce the ‘veil of secrecy’ that has been covering the collective consciousness for 13,000 years – since the Fall of Man.

This is an incredibly significant moment in history. This is the first time there has been an emergence of a Populist Movement on the left since the 1930s. Previous populist movements had charismatic leaders. This is very different. There will be two exact squares between Pluto and Uranus this summer.  On April 10, they began to tighten their orb in preparation for the first of these squares.  So we will now begin to experience a rather intense emotional squeeze into the portal of revolution and revelation.  This is a holy time, a time of great cleansing and a return to Unity Consciousness.
