A few nights ago, my husband, Dan and I were saying goodnight and I said to him,

                                “Kiss me like you did the first time you kissed me.”

                                          Seemingly without hesitation he said,
  
          “Amy, I can’t do that. Every kiss is like a snowflake. Each one is unique and special.

               There is no way to recreate something that took place at a particular moment,

            at a particular place. I can kiss you tonight, and it can be wonderful it its own way.”

                That sweet and tender inspirational message from Dan made me drop

                                                 right into present moment living.

               I knew that there was a bigger message for me in that conversation…

                                                    far beyond a goodnight kiss.

    Let’s think about all those moments in life that we replay over and over in our minds.

                         Often we focus on the moments that touched our hearts deeply.

                            What if we stopped thinking about the past for an instant

                                            and thought about Dan’s wisdom?

             Let’s imagine each moment starting right now as a unique snowflake
    
                                      with it’s own shape, time, space and gift.

              It’s possible to find tenderness and beauty right here and right now.

                              I ,for one, am going to be awake in my day looking

                                     for the snowflakes that fall in my direction.
