the whole concept of "onness" as I understand it from every one on here is that I should "surrender" to my "inner god" or "source self" ect and more or less face my "destiny" right well there is a major flaw in that idea to me.
I do not believe in destiny in any way shape or form past, present and future.
I believe life is more "cause and effect" than anything else.
so for example if I should happen to steal a car and then get sentenced to jail well the jail is the effect of my actions.
Now this SOUNDS like karma and in a small way it is but with ONE major difference.
In the idea of "karma" you will keeping suffering from your "debt" until you pay it off even death will not end your suffering/pain and you could never get away from it as the system of karma would never allow you to live freely until paid IN FULL.
in other words "karma" will hunt you down beyond any of the normal "barriors" debt usually has.
Now "cause and effect" is different because it is only within the present time that one suffers the debt.
so let's say that just like the above I stole a car but instead of being caught I died latter that day well in this system death instantly erases all debet because clearly someone that no longer exist clearly cannot pay a debt due to the clear fact that the person in question is unable to pay the debt by default.
in other words if a person was a gambler and owed 2,000,000,000 in gambling debts with "karma" that person would stay in debt even if they die (guess they must attach the bill to your head stone "here lies johony still owes us a shit load of money")
however in the idea of "cause and effect" once that person dies then the debt is simply erased just as the person is erased.
the idea of "karma" to me is absurd because it would make one person suffer/gain from another person's mistakes/efforts so what you have in a sense is one life is a "creator" of energy but doesn't feel the after effect of the energy it is the new life energy that does.
the key thing to remember though is that this new life has no connection at all to the old life in any way.
To put it another way my current name is Jesse that is who I should be responsible for Jesse so if in some former life I was named "Joe" and I did horrfic crimes well JOE did those crimes I DIDN'T DO THEM so why should I pay for them like wise if JOE saved 600,000 people from starvation ONLY JOE should get the reward for that as I didn't do any of the work so I should get no credit for that work.
that is all for the idea of "karma" next is "destiny" in terms of the inner god.
as I said above the idea seems to be in gving in to the "inner god" or becoming part of the "onness" is that you follow the path that was "pre-set" for you or rather you give in to whatever "destiny" you are supposed to have but this would mean your entire life was alreadly planned out which ultimately would mean you have no choice at all in your life.
We all have choice though for how our lives work either good or bad the story of that life was not written from begining to end no YOUR story is just that YOUR story completly unwritten except for the pages you have already wrote on.
the counter argument to this would be "what about seeing the future" well it's not THE future more a "possible" future so if you saw yourself becoming rich by winning the lotto and you played then won it wasn't "pre-decided" that you would win but rather it was your brain ( done at VERY high speed) calculating the most likly to happen to you then "projecting" the idea back to you.
Thus everysingle possible "angle" of what MAY happen is looked at then whatever "possibility" seems to be the most likly to occur so that on a "awake level" you can be more able to handle it.
You can think of this as multipule choice qustion and your brain will "zero in" on whatever "answer" it thinks has the most chance of happening.
so I ask you how do I accept my "destiny" if destiny simply doesn't "exist"?
FYI yes this mean I do not believe in "soul mates" either now I do believe in "falling in love" but that the love that is created is done so by the choice of the two people to be with one another there was no plan to bring them together.
