Do you have a winner's mentality?

I often advise people to put success pictures on the walls of their mind.

When you spend some time each day in quiet meditation, you can literally "create" a picture in your mind, of what you want your life to be like.

For instance, picture yourself in good health. Picture yourself with prosperity surrounding you. See yourself in your perfect relationship and in your perfect environment.

The person that can control their thoughts can control their life.

Things don't manifest overnight, but evidentially, what you can see you can be!

I visualized myself living in a home on property in Northern New Mexico for years. I never gave up the vision of living here. I would spend time sending those pictures forth, and then at the end of my time of visualization I would say, "This or something better comes to me now, easily and effortlessly!" When I look back at how this house virtually fell into my lap, I know it was because those thoughts and words were put out into the universe and they began to materialize.

One time a woman said to me, "This stuff doesn't work, I have been doing my visualizations and affirmations for two weeks and I still haven't gotten any results." I tried not to laugh, but inside I know I was doing so silently.

You get what you put forth, but not until the time is perfect for you. What you and I think might be the perfect time for something to manifest is not always the time when things are perfect for us. The universe unfolds exactly as it is suppose to unfold and at exactly the right time. In the meantime we need to practice gratitude for what we get while we are waiting for the "big" things we wish for.

When you find a parking space you wanted, a dress you wanted on sale for half price..a gasoline station open when your tank shows empty…talk about it! Immediately verbalize a big, "THANK-YOU!!" Tell your friends and learn to appreciate these little blessings. Cultivate the attitude of gratitude.

Look for the good in others and look for the good in yourself.

Never, never quit! You were born with all you need to become a winner in life. You can make it. You may experience a few setbacks, a few moments of doubt and confusion. These times are normal in everyone's life. They are normal times and they won't linger.

Where you are now, and whatever you are doing right this minute, STOP and say "I am not a quitter, I am a winner and nothing can stop me from the success that is rightfully mine!" Memorize that, and say it in the car on the way to work, say it silently when you can't speak it out loud. If need be, write it down over and over in a notebook until your believe it. When dark thoughts come to your mind, tell yourself "STOP" and change the subject going through your mind with your success affirmation!

What you want to happen for yourself, make happen for someone else. If you linger in self-pity that is exactly where you will stay. Find someone that you know that is down, and do something for him or her. Cut them some fresh flowers, bring them a candy bar, or call them and let them know you care and that you are there for them, if they need to talk.

We live in a self-centered world, where people spend too much time thinking of themselves and all their own problems.

I used to volunteer at a nursing home for older people. I found that there were basically old people who sat around and looked miserable and then there were those that looked forward to getting up each morning. There was a man there, who literally made the room he would walk into "light up." He was 95 years old at the time, and he would always inquire of the other people. "How are you today, June?" "How are you feeling John?"

It's not all about us, and the sooner we realize that and become the vessels of light we were created to be, the better the world will be for us and for others.

So my message today is picture your life the way you want it to be, and affirm those thoughts daily. Be appreciative of every good thing that comes your way, as little or insignificant as it may seem. Decide that tomorrow you will do something, no matter how little or insignificant it may seem, to brighten the life of someone else!

We are also getting back in life, what we send out. If you are not getting back what you want from life, examine your words, attitudes and gratitude behavior!

Blessings and Light on your path!
