“If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain to be in peril.” Sun Tzu
The greatest peril isn’t poverty of Wealth, but poverty of Thought.
Money is a fluid that permits the facility in the transference of Information between two or more points.
Once we learn how to think and understand how money works, learning and practicing those methods of transference is simple – but it begins with Thought.
If we look at most wealthy people we will find that they have, at some point in their lives (and sometimes at several points in their lives) fallen upon hard times. But what they did have was Tenacity and Drive and an Understanding of how to manipulate the fluidity of currency.
These traits have always set them apart from their counterparts – and it always begins with a drive to achieve.
They don’t only ‘Think it,’ they make it happen – and pay the price in other ways to make it happen.
Monetary wealth is an illusion – a great one for comfort and lateral social movement, but a man who is poor is spirit will die of a malnourished soul – there’s no greater peril than this – because everything they’ve failed to learn in one life will force them to relive it with the hope that they will learn it – or die trying and repeat the same lessons until they’ve discovered the real truths.
Being out of work in America isn’t Uncommon.
In Canada, the Canadian Government is telling its citizens that they will have to uproot and go to where the jobs are – regardless of where their families live.
We will now become a Hobo Nation of transients who’ll move around looking for work, because they cannot afford to own property.
This will rob a nation of its Cultural Identity – because the Identity we once shared will be lost in the pursuit of finding ‘Work.’
But at the same time, this challenge offers many life lessons that will help the downtrodden to learn more about their Country, but also about themselves – because they will have to face their own limits.
In the Middle Ages – citizens of a Town would require a Passport just to travel to another Town – and because they were poor and jobless – they’d be arrested as vagrants and placed in Work Prisons – where they’d work as slaves for the duration of their sentence.
In the United States, where you have TSA Check Points on major Interstates, Toll Booths, and Airports, and soon at every Train Station and Bus Station – it will be difficult for its citizens to travel jobless and penniless in search for work.
What is stranger is when Police Officers are paid to guard empty homes in suburbs to keep squatters from living in them – it is better to have empty homes and homeless citizens then to offer Social Freedom and Opportunities – it appears.
And somehow, no one can correlate this to the 16th century.
But as long as we have movies, cellphones and the internet – we are fine – eating our hazardous waste foods, drinking our poisoned water, toxic sodas and wearing our clothing made in a foreign nation that uses slave labor to make said clothing… As long as we eat our Breakfast, say our prayers and take our vitamins, we are all just fine…
What makes a man are his Values and his Commitment to his Honor.
When his values are to create a safe home for his family, provide shelter and meals – to uplift his friends and family by being present, mindful and knowledgeable – when his actions are honourable and praiseworthy because he stands up for what is Just and Right, defends what he believes in not with force, but with Right-Reason and he can be counted on to do the right thing and honor his commitments – get to work on time, does a honest job, and respects the people he meets every day – he will become successful – regardless of how much money he has in the bank, how big his house is, how many cars he has, or the quality of the trips he takes…
He loves himself when his personal philosophy is one of fairness and equality in Justice and Rights – for all people. He believes in personal freedoms, and will stand up against oppression and segregation. When his actions serve to uplift the world by being cautious in the waste we generate – by taking more than what is apportioned to us, by realizing that every desire and action has both a visible and invisible cost – then he will live near perfect balance with the world.
He loves himself when his beliefs are inclusive, promotes peace and unity in all things…
What we eat is nutritional.
What we wear is sustainable – fair value, and made in a free and open society.
What we purchase is for the upliftment of our family, not as an expression of Egoistical Pride or to be flaunting or be demonstrative…
When we are sincere in our desire to uplift others, no matter the level of contribution – as long as it is about the upliftment of others – be it in service, in intentions or in contribution.
When we are driven by the Right Causes because it is the Right thing to do, not because there is a self-returning benefit that remits to us a greater result than the intended act.
If we look around us, we see daily people who are poisoning their bodies with what they eat, drink and inject into their bodies.
We live hyper-stimulated because to ‘feel’ is painful. Yet all we have is what we ‘Feel.’
We live ignorant of ourselves and each other – as beings – that where we step could be another life that we take under our shoes – because we could not honor that thing, because it was ‘beneath’ us… We are all ‘Beneath’ something else.
When we live believing that others must suffer for our gain – we estrange ourselves from the world at large – because our Egoistic Pride blinds us to our Connectivity and Karma.
Life isn’t a simple matter – this is why we are damned to relive it countless times until we do learn – lifetime after lifetime, new lessons and new depths are revealed to us – every forward step is equally as perilous as the last. And when we walk in circles, our work is maximum but our benefit is zero – because we fail to go anywhere – but in a circle – we merely retrace our previous steps.
This is why the Lack of Thought is a peril, because if we cannot recognize the errors of our habits and beliefs – then how then can we hope to ascend from them?
True Thought is a process of selflessness, of humility, of thanksgiving and grace. When we live a sincere life of upliftment and Understanding – we are living authentically, with Power.
And when we aren’t living authentically, and with Power – we are not living at all – we are merely travelling in circles – blind to the path that is ahead of us and that was behind us…
Judge every moment as Ever New Joy – as one step closer to Understanding, to Clarity, to Karmic Freedom – but this is only possible when we are moving with authenticity of Spirit and Mind.
