My wife's aunt Peg was a happy, capable and industrious person
who always saw the best in everything.
She was a great matriarch, cooker of huge Christmas dinners for her whole clan,
baker of cakes, preserver of fruit, writer of letters and source
of many humorous comments and anecdotes.
She was also a very keen gardener and still mowing her own lawns
well into her nineties.
Yesterday, she passed away. She mowed her lawns for the last time just the day before –
and according to her son, she was with family and still laughing and cracking jokes
until about 30 seconds before she died.
Way to go auntie Peg.
