Look around you
Back and front
Side to side
Up and down
Where is there a normal person?
Where is there a normal thing?
Where is there a normal event?

There are societal norms
Which we all follow

There are things we see
Over and over
Which become mundane

And there are common occurrences
Which are similar events
That we get used to

But in seeing that these people, things and events
As normal
We lose our own spontaneity
And we ourselves
Become mundane
Boring
Bored

What's new?
We always say
What's old
isn't that the truth?

I look at my ceiling twice
I never see it the same

But we hold fast to thoughts
Perceptions
Ideas
Beliefs
Which paint our reality
Gray

Back to Societal Norms
Yes there are formalities
Yes there are correct behaviors
Only so we could function
In comprehension
Of one another
Because some can't see past themselves
And see only words and thoughts

But who themselves are normal?
I see weird people everywhere!
I'm the weirdest of them all
But nobody is the same
Which makes us all weird
In our own special way

Because Society Deems Different as Weird
But who is Society?
What is Society?
But a figment of our reality
Pictures we paint
Over other peoples faces
To give ourselves a sense of security
A sense of Belonging

We are all different
Nobody is the same as us
We see similarities
And paint our picture on their face
"Yes their my 'friend'"
As if they understand you

Only if one understands themselves
Will anyone understand you
And sad to say
Through long and hard observation
Many Many Do not know
Their own personality
Because we try so hard
To FIT IN

We're all weird
We're all unique
We're all special
We're all brilliant
We're all gifted
We're all sages
We're all....
Whatever we want to be

When we can accept
That we are different
And we are all WEIRD

Quit hiding it
You know you're weird
Take comfort in the fact
That 'they' are weird too
But I'm weirder than you
So na na na boo

Who are you?
Who are you hiding?
Who are you?
