Losing & Gaining Our Beloved Dog Meisha

My heart aches so terribly bad for a my beautiful Red Siberian Huskey, Meisha, we had to put down this week...she'd run her last mile as a gifted lightworker. She came to us 12 years ago and I didn't know much about healing at that time. We went about life in our household and when we were under great stress from the world she lifted us up by taking it all into her lovely body. When my mom was ill with Chrone's Disease and then cancer she took it in and was near death herself. About this time I started studying reiki and using crystals and I was able to help her time and time again as she helped us. She was so full of unconditional love...it oozed from her soul through her eyes. She had her spunky side too and was full of mischief just to keep us on our toes and to learn to go with the flow by putting away our things if we didn't want them chewed and to get out and exercise by allowing her to 'walk us'. Over the past couple of years she started to weaken in her hips and then she developed Cushing's Disease. We tried so hard to keep her going with holistic treaments and she was willing to stay with us to see us through until we could release her back to source. Over the last few weeks she kept showing me a vsion of herself running loose in a field full of flowers with butterflies flitting about her. My son dreamed that she was in a wooded place filled with beautiful colours he has never seen before. My daughter dreamed her dog Chloe would soon be walking out with our other dog Bailey but Meisha was no longer with them as they went about exploring the banks of the creek. We knew her time was running out... This week she became very ill overnight and that next morning we knew we had to call the vet. She pushed herself all day on shaky limbs to allow my husband and son to walk her around our large wooded property one more time, then she would rest. Again and again she did this as her systems began shutting down...She had one last meal of peanut butter toast and a sip of water. She rested in my husband's arms until the vet arrived. I lit a beautiful candle and played some lovely music by Paul Armitage called Love's Heart...Fully Shining. This music was so appropriate for someone filled with so much love. She looked about at all of us gathered about her and we fed her soothing words of comfort. It only took a few moments and her spirit body lifted and I felt a pulsation in my thumb as it happened. Now when she is present my thumb pulsates for a second or two just to let me know she is at my side. She told me she was sorry that I had felt jealous at times that my husband paid her so much attention she had never meant for that to happen. She said she still comes to rest on her little green magnetic mat and that's why our other dog, Bailey, won't lay down on it. He hasn't wanted to eat very much and she says she is still protecting her food bowl!! My husband had a vision of her in a fog on the other side, so I sent her some reiki. The next day she appeared in front of the Light so I sent more reiki. Today she showed him she could go in and out of the Light. She said the reiki is helping her and her life force is very high once again. It actually felt as if she was sending the energy back to me. She says she is going to help me with the healing work that I do...I look forward and am honoured that she will still be with me as we continue to be companions on the journey... We got a plaque made for her that says"Love Lies Here". Also, I checked out the meaning of the name Meisha and it means Alive, she who lives...
