Merlin, I have been traveling and seen many homes for sale and heard of many people who are
losing their homes and are in grave difficulties in so many areas of their life. What can we do to assist them? How can we help?

Merlin: Well, my dear, we have a topic of beliefs and more so, of yearning for another
way, a way which calls to all human beings now that the turning of the war has begun. And
rightly so are there yearnings for a better way! Rightly so! Yes, I would be most pleased to speak upon your chosen topic of how can those ones who are suffering be helped. Of
course. And I would begin by speaking of what I have just mentioned, the turning of the war; but don’t think that I’ve ignored your request. On the contrary, the answer begins in this manner.

As you are aware, this has been called the last war upon the earth. “This” being all of the battles that continue to rage over the earth and in the lives of so many. And I have spoken many times upon the topic of the last war that would continue until it is no more. And you have asked me, does that mean there will be peace upon the earth? You have never asked me directly, though I have been waiting to answer you.

Will there be peace upon the earth after this last war is completed? Again I stress the fact that I am not speaking of any particular war or battle, but of ALL war and battle. The answer resides within you. The real pattern of peace resides within you and within your budding consciousness. Of course you are awake, but know that you are also continuing to awaken and it is within that continued awakening that there is your yearning for peace. And within your yearning for peace is the real thing. Peace. What is peace anyway? Do you really have a concept of peace? Certainly it is not “not fighting”, but more. What is peace? It is the ability to reside with everything and everyone… as they are, as it is. Allowing. Being. So then the answer comes from you. And then I ask you, are you able to reside within peace? Are you able to dare – and I do mean “dare” – to allow within your own continued awakening, your experience of being, your experience of residing with everything and everyone?

And you might be saying, Merlin, does that mean that I have to accept what other people do? Ah! Let me be more specific, my dears. Within peace, real peace as I have been speaking of it, there is no need to be right. You see? Think about that for a moment. What if you lived your life knowing that there is no right way to live? What if every way was right?

And again you might be saying, Merlin there are those who cannot accept that. To which I would say, yes – the primary ingredient in battle, in war. And that is what has turned, though you probably won’t see any evidence of such turning. And what do I mean by turning anyway? The answer is clear and simple. The summit has been reached. You might think that there is an increase in the opportunities for war, that the world is becoming a more risky place with regard to the possibility of blowing yourselves to kingdom come; and even though that possibility does always exist, the truth is this. Within the energies that are involved in battle and war, in conquering and all the horrors that are included in war, there has reached a summit. You might say the top of that particular mountain has been reached. And now there is a teetering there at the top, each trying to force more energy to flow in order to continue the escalations of the many battles, called war. Of course there is the scrabbling and scraping in order to maintain the summit; but we all know, you all know that once you are up there, there is no place to go but down. I like your phrasing of that occurrence, though I wouldn’t exactly putit that way. What I would say is that after the summit comes what is called an invitation. The invitation is for self preservation and it is called change; and change at its best is called transformation.

Yes, I am sorry to say that there will be many more who will suffer with the completing of this last war. The good news is that we are on the downward slope of it all. The warriors, the Great Warriors who have come to assist to complete this task are gearing up. What are they gearing up for? It is as if they are opening their arms and gathering all those little guys who believe they are warriors and are really hungry and greedy to be right; gathering them to be ceased. And what I mean by that is the Great Warriors are gathering the falsity to themselves that it be dissolved whence it came: to Nothing. That is why they are here, after all. And I’m sure that all this speaking will bring many more questions. Of course. Bring them on, as you have the phrase. I do so enjoy speaking with you. Yet for this speaking, let us return to your original question of how can you assist those who are suffering, particularly those who are losing their homes in this financial crisis.

Imagine this: imagine no right or wrong. Go ahead now, just take a moment and imagine that there is no right to be concerned about, no wrong to be concerned about. Just think of yourself in this context. Take a moment and bring yourself into that way of being. I’ll wait… go ahead now.

Ah! Good. Now you can realize that there is no “best way” to assist those who are
suffering as you have described. In other words, whatever way you decide for yourself is the way. I know, I know, it appears that I am evading the question and I will answer it; however, I do ask you to ask yourself, how can YOU assist those ones? Oh I don’t mean go out and pay their mortgage. There are too many. Ask yourself what you can do. Realistically. Today. Have you done that? All right. Then with that in mind, I will suggest something.

You have a great great capacity for love. You have a great great capacity for caring for others. You have a great great capacity for residing in joy – when you let yourself. When you realize that you and those ones for whom you ask and care about are really of the same; you are beginning to help. What do I mean “of the same”? When you begin to realize that you and they are the same being, one being. Give it a try, even though your mind might think that is impossible. Give it a try anyway. Realize that there is only One. One flowing, one love, one joy, one. Go ahead now, do it. You might even want to close your eyes and reflect upon the fact, the Truth that there is only one. Your love is all love… in all beings, even those who are suffering. Your joy is all joy… in all beings, even those who are suffering.

Now change the way you are thinking about those ones whom you want to help. Allow
them to reside with you in the One, allow them, invite them if you choose, to step from the
separate viewing that you have placed them in, and into the wholeness that is. Allow them to be your love, your joy, your peace, your caring, your fulfillment. And at the same time, let go of that remnant of belief that says that you are separate individuals. The belief served you quite well; it caused you to care, to want to help. And now you have discovered the ultimate reason for such belief: to bring you to the awareness that you are, that all beings are One Being. Now just let yourself reside within the One Love, that One Joy, that One Fulfillment. Let it get bigger and bigger and bigger. Oh it’s already quite big… as you use the words… you are just allowing it to get bigger and bigger within your own consciousness. You see? It really is all about you. Ah! That was a little humor. I know, a very little humor, but nonetheless, my attempt at it.

The real answer, the simple and quick answer is always within you. And of course your wonderfully active mind can’t figure it out. It’s a consciousness thing. Ah, I like that phrase.
