The Heart and the Mind

Dear brothers and sisters

There has been some ongoing debate about the nature of Love, and where the heart and the mind should reside in the process of individual enlightment and global ascension. Some of the debating has been passionate and deep, and by no means easy to follow, so I would really appreciate contributions from those for whom I know this is an important subject.

I will start by throwing in my humble twopennies for what it's worth. In my professional field of Chinese Medicine, the heart is the seat of the human field of consciousness, and it not only enables each person to feel love, but also to understand all the emotions, to sleep, dream, access memories and ultimately to comprehend complete reality.

Also in my personal experience of meditation Love is the cohesive factor that brings everything together in a way that makes sense (to me, at least). However, this doesn't mean that the mind is superfluous, since nothing we have been given by Source is superfluous. But Mind is at its best when it follows the Heart, not the other way around.

Having said all this, this is my reality and as I have mentioned in a previous post, not everyone's reality is the same. At the end of the day, as we are all One, we are all God's eyes and ears, and complete reality is all together as One, as different individuals united by the divine is us.
