What do you do for a living, healers and counsellors?

I wanted to start a discussion if some health security pays for services of healers (or any alternative kinds of medicine, e.g. homeopathy, shia tsu etc.) in your country. What oficial papers and certificates should a healer have in your country to be able to do their work “officially“?

I'm asking because a friend of mine writes a dissertation about alternative medicine and needs to know how it works abroad. You needn't write about your personal issues, just about what possibilities you've heard.

What do you do for a living, if not being emloyed?
