Sleeper, Awaken

Orange sky,
transparent lady
was I sleeping?
maybe.

I asked her what I was
she motioned all around me.

I asked her what I was
she put dirt in my hand.

I asked her what I was
she pointed to a tree.

I asked her what I was
she showed me a grain of sand.

I asked her what I was
she motioned towards the sea.

I asked her what I was
she said,
'Part of the plan.'

Fading light,
dissipating lady
'What's the plan?'
she smiles.
