An Angel Saved Me 500 Bucks Last Night AND My Smile!

Well, here goes one of my "beauty secrets."  I "supposedly" grind my teeth at night, so last year I finally agreed to be fitted for a mouth guard.  I now look even "cuter" when getting in bed.  The hub is so lucky.  Holey fleece pajamas, socks, hand cream that makes him cough if I put too much and now...this lovely mouthguard.

Well, I can get lazy at times and just put it on my dresser in the morning which means right before bed I remember it needs washing.  Last night I grabbed it when on my way to wash my face but I had no pockets on my yoga pants.  So, I had the "bright idea" to just put it in the waistband of my pants.  You know, half in, half out.

I continued with my "lady" routine of brushing teeth, washing face, plucked a few eyebrows etc. and blah.  I then had to *tinkle.*  When I was done and flushed, I stood to look in the mirror one last time (don't ask me why...habit) and I heard an unfamiliar "clink."  I "thought" to "Look at the toilet" and I had just enough time to reach in and GRAB MY MOUTHGAURD (or should I say MY 500 BUCKS!) JUST BEFORE it swirled down the hole and "out to sea!"

You can imagine the thoughts that ran through my mind!  The main one to be honest, was not so much that it was alot of money, but the thought of how crazy it would have driven me to not know where it was.  I mean could you imagine?  Day after day of turning the house upside down, SURE it was somewhere?  Oh my God...even thinking about that scenario right now exhausts me.

Are you wondering if I then put it in my mouth?  Ha...Um like, "Ye-ah."  After I washed it twice with antibacterial soap, then boiled it a bit since I didn't trust the soap, then washed it once more since I thought maybe the water wasn't hot enough because I didn't want to change it's shape.

The moral of this story is (and there is one) that our angels are always nearby.  The moments they "save" us may not always be matters of life and death.  And?  Last but not least?  I will be passing out kisses later...anyone???? Ha.
