The big leap

There comes a time on our ascension path when I believe we are asked to let go. To let go of what? To let go of our purpose and our identity. Because to hang onto it just becomes too painful. When faced with this kind of pain, we have only one choice left to us. To let go of that which is causing us pain. Our attachment to our purpose and identity.

Most of us are here with the idea, the belief, or even the knowledge that our soul is here to do light work. To help with the shift. We may have learned this from a channelled reading, or from a chat with spirit, or we may have ticked all the right boxes in a Doreen Virtue book. Im sure there are many different ways in which we have found out that we are here to show the way. To clear the path for others. Maybe to be an example to others. Maybe to use our healing gifts and talents. Learning about our soul purpose in this way can be hugely helpful, it can shift our perspective of ourselves and our place in the world, it can give us hope, it can give us direction, it can give us a reason to live when we have no other one. So many of us identify with what we know and understand about our soul's purpose and then use that knowledge to guide our way through life.

However, I believe there comes a time when it is helpful to progress on our path to release our attachment to what we understand about our soul's contracts and purpose. Ultimately, if we are using what we understand about our soul's purpose to guide our lives, it is still US guiding our lives. It cannot allow the universe to guide us, and it cannot allow the universe to offer us all that it wants us to be and do and have. Furthermore, although we may understand that our soul is here to do light work and help with the shift, we cannot know in what way, and in what form we are here to do light work. Maybe you know that you are here to heal. But even healing takes a million different forms. Isnt it entirely possible that in releasing your attachment to your soul's purpose, you will actually be beautifully fulfilling your soul's purpose and contract? Isnt it entirely possible that in releasing your attachment to your soul's purpose, your light work will take on a whole new form, dimension and meaning?

For many who have been attached to their soul purpose for a long time, contemplating life without it can be very daunting. It can throw up all sorts of questions such as "well who am I then?" and "What do I do now?". It can throw up fears of not knowing how to live. You may be asked to question the work you do. You may be asked to question the relationships you have made. You may be asked to question your very existance. Releasing our attachment to our soul purpose can be the equivalent of being asked to jump into a dark abyss. For those who have done a bungee jump, you will know that the first time you leave the safety of the platform and leap out into the nothingness, the fear just runs straight through you, from your stomach to your feet. And as you plummet to earth the adrenaline and fear is so intense, yet so amazingly vibrant, exciting and alive. And then the rope kicks in, and you realise that its going to be ok and that there was nothing to fear. Easy to say with hindsight of course. It is the same with releasing our soul purpose and our identification as a light worker. The only way through it is to face the fear. To experience it fully and vibrantly. To allow it to run through our body and out into the wind. And then to look back and see that the fear was all an illusion. And in taking the leap, maybe we are then truly fulfilling the light work that our soul is contracted to do.

Yours in joy,
Andrew
