Divided Loyalties

It seems like I am being totally divided down the middle. All I want to do is sit outside and watch the ripples in the brook and the gentle swaying of the trees. I feel like I have fallen head over heels in love with this beautiful planet and I want to spend every moment basking in her glory.

On the other hand, I just got my bill for town taxes and it was a whole lot more than I expected, my roof is starting to leak and needs shingles desparately, and the dentist told me I need a few thousand dollars of work done on my teeth. And, all this mind you, on a retail shift supervisors salary.. let's just say that I make a little over $20,000 a year. My significant other and I live in the same space, but any love relationship.. other than agape love .. is long gone. He makes about $7,000 a year.. can't seem to keep a job.

So, here I stand... wanting to wander through the world around me communing with nature.. and yet having to work a 40 plus hour a week job just to survive.
