I SEE TREES OF GREEN ...
What a wonderful world! I'm flat hunting and job hunting all at once, and I feel like I've had a new lease of life. Since moving here I've been out walking a lot more with Jack and so I'm getting to know the area and also the surrounding areas a bit better.
It's said that a change is as good as a rest and it certainly seems true. I'm out with Jack, bumping into people, chatting, taking photos of landmarks because I love local history and conservation as well as modernisation and although I actually used to work here as a Youth Trainer in this part of Liverpool several years ago, I never had the chance to even look around because we were too busy to even leave the office for lunch most days! And 5.30pm was just a mad dash to the car to get home to pick the kids up and start cooking dinner.
So the other day I actually visited the place where I used to work, it's now changed to something else, but I walked around the top floor car park and actually looked at the view which I'd not had the time to appreciate years ago - and promptly burst into tears and sent up another 'Thank You' to the universe for the beautiful view of the trees and lovely landscape.
And I've just returned from a walk with Jack to the local village green and as I walked under a particular tree it unexpectedly showered me with the most beautiful, gentle scent and so I stood there for a few minutes taking it all in, savouring every moment, every leaf, every flower and saying 'Thank You Universe for arranging all this natural beauty for me to enjoy! Just by walking Jack, I've met so many lovely people who've stopped and chatted and laughed. There certainly seems to be a lot of love around - it's tangible.
I feel so lucky to be here.
