I have a question for all of you star gazers out there. Two nights ago, while visiting some friends, we noticed a brilliant start appear in the Northern Sky. It was the first to appear and was so bright, that we pulled the car over to observe it. Our friend tried to photograph it, but didn't have a tripod. What was strange is how unusually bright it was and the way it twinkled and changed colour. Last evening, while at a BBQ my brother started talking about this strange star he and his gal had seen everynight for the past week or so. It appeared again and we got out the binoculars and it was really strange to see it. We were not sure if it was a planet, star or what. None of us has ever seen anthing like it. Have any of you seen it? It appears in our area, Western Canada, to the North and sits very low in the sky.
