The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society, a network of more than one hundred Moro civil society organizations in Mindanao that aspires to promote harmonious co-existence as well as peace and development, strongly condemns the senseless atrocities that have resulted in the loss of lives, destruction of properties and displacement of thousands of innocent civilians.

We demand an end to all hostilities and for both the Government of the Republic of the Philippines ( GRP ) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to return to dialogue and negotiation and peacefully resolve the controversies and issues surrounding the aborted signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain (MOA-AD).

We also call upon all people of different faiths and cultures to join hands and pray that we go beyond our fears, prejudices and human frailties that have severely eroded our power to act wisely and graciously in these dark and trying times.
