Chakras may appear to be mysterious objects or ideas derived from Eastern traditions, but these energy centers are very real! Chakra is a Sanskrit word for wheel or disk and each of the chakras signifies an energy center in the body. We each have seven major chakras that branch forth from our spinal column. Each of the chakras has a strong association with certain sytems and organs in the body as well as being associated with certain emotional and spiritual issues. The chakra energies usually swirl outward from the spine, and they can be measured and felt.
The amount and the quality of the chakra energy correlates to the overall health of the individual. There is typically a decline of energy in a chakra if the organs of the body associated with that particular chakra have been compromised. To the extent that an individual has unresolved emotional issues- the associated chakra will spin out energy associated with that chakra. The energy is an unconscious attractor to those who have similar emotional issues. People are drawn together by their energies and then they have the divine opportunity to work through these issues that are compromising and distorting their energy flow.
Your chakras carry your energy and and consciousness into the environment. They call into your life the people, events and circumstances that will offer an energetic fit or an opportunity for you to bring the unresolved issues to the forefront of your awareness. You can then choose to heal yourself from the inside-out. The lower three chakras are associated with human, third dimensional consciousness and density. Therefore, if you are experiencing any emotion other than peace, love or joy, then be assured that you have activated one of your lower three chakras. Breathe deeply and be grateful for these challenging times because they are offering you a divine choice to expand beyond those ego-based emotions and choose love instead. With a sense of gratitude and love, you can move beyond any painful experience by returning to your heart and embracing your true self. Regardless of the scope of your understanding with chakras, you do understand love. Love is universal. It heals, nourishes, unifies, encourages, inspires, expands, and awakens us to who we truly are.
Recognize the freedom you have in living from your heart. When you begin to truly anchor in your heart, all perceived problems will automatically generate new responses from you because you won't be stuck in 3rd dimensional ego battles that involve power, attachment and drama. So, TRUST your heart. It won't lead you astray. The chakras help keep your world in balance!
To assist you in balancing your chakras the following information is important:
Each chakra has a specific color linked to it which opens & stimulates energy flow.  Your chakras can easily become blocked or over stimulated, so the use of color visualization can help balance the energies and chakras- allowing you to feel calmer or re-energized - more centred & balanced.
If you focus on each of the chakras in turn working from the root up - breathe deeply looking at an image of them- to visualize a stream of color flooding the chakra until you see it as a spinning disc of intense color. Work your way through each page & chakra in turn - 2 or 3 deep breaths each. Alternatively just choose one area you feel needs re-energising or calming, focus on that flower & color, then give a couple of deep breaths to help brighten your day!
