I have been asked by four different people within the last two weeks to describe to them what I see as True Power or Magic, Witch Craft etc. Some have asked how to increase their ‘power levels’, others simply expressing interest in my views. Thank You for your questions!
I have taken this to mean that basic force which is, in its essence, that which powers us, gives that extra sparkle of Umf! to our actions, deeds, thought and invocations etc, that which makes us strong; That power which makes us what we are.
I thought I’d copy my most recent thoughts that I wrote in response to a new and delightful friend, here to my Blog.
Love to all who have asked this question of me and Thank You for the opportunity you gave for me to take a peek at my own views and to share them! :)
True Power etc is a knowing that no spell, ritual, magical item or book is needed to perform real ‘magic’. Magic/Power just happens anyway, some people catch it, some don’t but it's always simply there waiting. It's what you do with it and how you shape it that counts.
LOL Listen to it! Does it whisper sweet nothings, rage loudly or talk good common sense… stout boots (to stop the pebbles diggin in ya tootsies) and bikini's (to catch the sunshine beaming on your skin!). Is it singing, laughing or crying.....and why does it do that, what for and How?
Ah! Questions are Good, they empower a person with knowledge, even if little or no answer is given LOL We can learn a lot by listening to the answer which is NOT given!
True power can trick you and fool you, it can raise you or drown you but it shall always flow with you once it has been caught, you just have to learn when and how to say No and to know that when you say Yes, you feel that yes with full passion, Joy and Delight!
Knowing how and when to change your Yes to a No, or your No to a Yes helps bring True Power as well!
True power is knowing to take an umbrella, even tho the weatherman says its sunny, LOL or knowing when to leave it behind even when rain is predicted.
Its eating a box of chocolates and not reading the identity the map, enjoying every single bite, even the ones you do not like.
Its knowing that you can’t eat scented soap to change the smell of the wind, the change must come from the basic formation and the swirling basic energy of the wind itself.
It’s knowing when to stand strong and when to sway... and finding the joy and passion in doing both.
Its knowing when to deliberately choose to turn right and facing all of ‘rights’ fears with a smile and a giggle, with delight even tho all the books/sayings/cautions/advice say turn left to avoid fear.....then making and creating that right turn into what you want it to be....fearless and Joy filled.
Its knowing how many berries to pick from a berry tree and how many to leave for the birds.
Its knowing that if you eat arsenic in any great quantity, you shall die, possibly quite gruesomely. This goes for playing football on the motorway, dancing on railway tracks and swinging from electricity pylons. It also goes for deliberately and knowingly harming another. We can choose to do it if we so wish to and indeed will do so if we choose to……but we take full self responsibility for the consequences, no shirking and no blaming of another, we did it, we take the responsibility for it.
It’s making no excuses yet holding no blame. Taking responsibility for you and your own energy. Not for that of others.
It’s knowing that Yarrow will stop bleeding, but a gaping wound needs a trip to the hospital.
Its knowing when to open a door and when to keep it shut.
It’s knowing not to peel other peoples onions, cos it makes you cry their tears. Yet still knowing how to pass the tissues whilst dodging their snot and tears and knowing how, when and if to pass on the tricks of easy peeling. It helps to know why I am passing those tricks on too. For me? For them? Or just cos I'm being a busy body and can't keep my nose out:)
It’s knowing when to peel your own onions and how many skins to take off at once!
Its knowing that if your baby pukes, its your job to bring comfort and help to baby and to clean it up...even if it is 2 o’clock in the morning and knowing that if your baby laughs its your job to laugh in Joy with it...even if its 2 o’clock in the morning.
Its knowing that too much true power can create just as much of a mess as too little.
It’s knowing that you do not need a sledgehammer to nail in a tack, yet knowing that a concrete wall needs a demolition ball to bring it down.
Most of all its knowing that true power is not all that its cracked up to be and generally its not particularly powerful at all, its simply affective, gets the job done and sits well in harmony and Joy and makes you and those around you Happy.
LOL There are more…loads more I am sure!
So, What is Your definition of True Power? Feel free to add to the list:)
Love and Joy-Beams!
