So last night i'm sitting here watching Vincent Price movies steaming mad. It was about 8:15pm and my boyfriend was supposed to had been here about 2 hours before. Just as i was about to launch into another string of four letter words directed at him, my phone rings. I didn't recognize the number and usually don't answer if i don't recognize the number but i did this time.

It was a lady i work with. She said, Are you busy?. At first i said, 'Well, yeah sort of.' But my gut was telling me i needed to talk to her so i stayed on the phone. I said, 'What's wrong?' She said, 'I'm sitting in the Target parking lot and i'm kinda lonely and needed to talk to someone. I had a feeling you were still up so i called you.' Now i've never talked to this lady outside of work at all so i'm sitting there a little shell-shocked. So i let her talk. Turns out she's going through a difficult divorce and had just had an argument with her soon to be ex-husband. I gave her the advice that felt right and extracted some of the pain from her so she would regain some peace of mind. We talked for about an hour and a half. She told me she felt better and was going to go pick up her daughter from a Halloween party. Just as she said that, you know who rang the doorbell. I peeked out the door and there was the late boyfriend.

I just found this amazing and wanted to share it. All things happen as they should even if we can't see it right at that moment. If he had of been there on time, my phone would have been on 'silent' and i would not have gotten her call. Of course, now i have to spend the majority of the day cancelling out all the negative words i sent his way. I also have to check on my new friend. :-)

Trust the process, even if you don't understand it.
