As promised. I've posted some pictures (and words) in regards to the wonderful little critters that have crossed my path in life, that now live happy lives. All of the animals presented in this blog are animals that I've saved. It would seem, that when animals are in need of help or saving in my area, they always seem to end up in my hands. I sometimes think the Earth knows that when theres an animal related crisis.....
...I'm the guy to turn to.

First up, is Petey. He's a slider turtle that I found one day in our lake resting on a piece of driftwood. He was really small and would have more than likely ended up as a meal of some kind for the larger lake creatures out in our lake. I kept him for about a year and then released him back into the wild in an area where he'd be less likely to be in any kind of danger. I took him to a river out in Amish country where humans aren't aloud to trespass. He showed alot of excitement when I set him free.

Next is my dog Cage. We found him out on the side of a road on a really hot summer day (in a cage ironically) with his two sisters. All three puppies were out there, not being tended to, with no food or water, and no one watching them. There was just them in the cage with a cardboard sign that read "Free Puppies". We took all the puppies, gave two to a good home and kept Cage.

he is now man's (or Pisces Dionysus's anyway) besy friend.

and here he is what he looks like now (just a couple weeks after a run in with a skunk). Washing him wasnt a treat at all....lol!!

Heres our cat Spook. Her story isnt really as bad as Cage's. She came from a litter of barn cats (that lived with multiple litters of barn cats) that my girlfriends grandmother found. She was given to a lady who only kept her a week and decided she didnt want her. She was only 6 weeks old and the lady was going to take her to the humaine society but instead, she ended up with us (and had been a cute little terror every since...lol)
Just look at her.

she's areally spoiled cat and thinks she has just as much (if not more rights) than our daughter Lily.

Recently, I've come across a bunch of baby squirrels. Their mother was hit by car and they started jumpin out of a tree in our back yard. They were starving but dont fret...
...I am happily nursing them back to health so that they can be released back into the wild.

Also, we have a litter (if they're called litters) of baby bunnies (just in time for Easter) that were out by our porch. The mother hasnt been back in days and two of the bunnies were killed by a friends dog. I wasnt going to risk anymore of them being killed so, I took them in to.

Just like baby squirrels, baby rabbits take alot to care for, but (again dont fret) I've done it before so these little critters will be released back into their natural habitat in no time.

Aside from these. The only other animals I have are my beautiful fishes. They were in fact saved too actually. I got some of them from a friend of mine who did not keep up with the aquarium at all. It literally looked like a friggin swamp tank when I got it, but now....
...all the fish are healthy as could be, the tank is clean, and I've even added 2 Oscars and a Dempsey to the tank (who now dominate the tank...lol) but they're beautiful nevertheless. I could watch them for hours

so there you have it.

Pisces Dionysus....

....defender of the little guys. Now and Always.

Oh yeah.....

...almost forgot the clams MAN!!!!!

Photobucket

I guess you could say I saved them from a drunk who was at the mill trudging through the river (lookin for em).

Photobucket

...so I saved 'em.

..While my dog Cage ghetto stomped some crayfish cause they pinched his paw...lol!! That was the only casualty.

Hope you enjoyed these pics. Feel free to share pics of your animals too. I'd love to see em.
