Just thought I'd share my lil story about a meditation I did a number of years ago.
It was actually a Swan Meditation, but after the experience I had, I ended up writing up my own Dragon Meditation, which I will have to dig up!
So, in the Swan Meditation this is the start, then the rest is left up to you: 

You find yourself sitting on a lake bank on the grass in midday, talking with various animals of your (subconcious and spiritual) choosing.  They may have messages for you!  Along comes a Gorgeous Giant Swan, drifting calmly toward you on the water with a Smile.
You excuse yourself from the group chat with the animals, thanking them, and walk toward this lovely Swan.  This Swan is taller than you are, and can easily fit about 3 adult humans on it's back.
It offers you a ride on its back, to which you are more than happy and excited to accept!  You are now on the back of the Swan, admiring the scenery along the lake as the Swan carries you further from the lake edge... until you reach a tunnel...
You enter the tunnel.... 
*Here is where you go it alone, and experience...*  !!!
What I experienced after passing through the tunnel:
The Swan gracefully burst forth from the water and flew high into the air, landing me onto the top of a Turret of a Light Stone Castle.
I walked inside and was greeted by an Invisible Sorceress.  She didn't tell me her name, instead she handed me a rather large, thick and leather bound book.  The Invisible Sorceress said that it was The Book of Silence, and I can download information whenever I want =)
I thanked her and walked back outside on top of the Turret.

There, perched on the edge waiting for me, was a marvelous, huge, Rainbow Green Dragon.  He handed me a purple crystal (Amythest) and said it had something to do with Time.  It also had a very specific shape.
I thanked my friend the Green dragon for his gift also, and took my flight back on the Swan.
End.

So after this meditation, I buzzed out!  I immediately checked my Crystal Bible (Judy Hall) for the Crystal I was given by the Dragon.  I went to the section on Shapes.  Well, well, there it was!  And what is it called?  A Time Link Cryystal!!
I went to the local crystal shop and asked if they had any.  They didn't know what I was talking about, so I grabbed thier copy of the Crystal Bible and showed them.  We then proceeded to search the shop for them.  I wanted clear quartz though, but as it turned out, the only ones they had were Amythest!
What's even more trippy, is my oldest son Bronson, my hard core Indigo... was born with brain damage on the right hemisphere of his brain, causing paralisys of the whole left side of his body.  When he was born he didn't even know the left side existed.  It took me doing physio at every nappy change to make a difference.  At one year old he was standing!! And he was 3 months premature.
So the Time Link Crystal actually helps heal the left and right hemispheres of the brain plus a whole heap of other things that helps my son!!  I couldn't believe it.
So, do the crystals work?  Of course they do.  What would be surprising, is if they didn't work ;)
