I have just spent a wonderful wonderful day in the garden. It's just a small garden that I care for now, not the huge acre I used to take care of. It is so uplifting to get my hands in the dirt and put the little seeds in. There is so much energy in a seed! I don't live in the country anymore where this used to bring every woodland critter out to watch - but I did have about 20 birds lined up watching intently and singing such beautiful songs it brought tears to my eyes. (yes, I planted extra seeds for them to get later). I miss living out in the country, but we make due with what we have, and adjust our lives to be where we should be. Nothing in the world can compare to the love I feel when I am in my garden and I am so energized from my happy day. I was pleasantly surprised this year as all my petunia's came back again from last year and are already in bloom - as are the snapdragons.

We are so lucky to live in such a diverse world with all the beauty around us - there is so much to see and sometimes I forget to pay attention. I am writing this as a reminder to myself to come back to this in the winter when the sun hides and the warmth is replaced by the cold.
