Love

Many of my posts, if not all, are in some way or another related to love.
Why is that?
The short answer is- that is my purpose for being : love and wisdom inseparable.

In this time, and in any time, an ever-deepening contemplation on, experiencing of, and exploration of loving, can never go astray. And can only benefit.

Love is the pulse of the universe.
Love is the manna of all great art and innovation.
Love heals.

I have posted the following brilliant exposition by the honourable Thich Nhat Hahn- great Vietnamese Zen Master and Poet of Life, once before in the blog called " What is Maitri", which contains two videos by two renowned teachers of two different Buddhist traditions.

A BIT ABOUT deciphering of VEHICLES ...

At the end of the day, Buddhism, though practised in different ways, in different countries and different so-called 'vehicles', is about calming the mind, seeing clearly, letting go of what is not helpful to your peace and developing, endlessly, the heart of loving kindness inseparable from wisdom.

This heart-radiance of peace, understanding and boundless love, is by no means a Buddhist thing ! (And we all know that).
One does not require Buddhism or any other 'religion' to realise that.
One looks within.

However, due to causes and conditions, beings often do find resonances with ideas,faiths,creeds,ways....resonances, that like a mirror, or an echo, reflect the 'within', or can point to it.
And that can be just fine, at least for some, or part, or most of our way.

And may it serve each being well, however the 'it' may be !

:) !

In simple terms, the different Buddhist Vehicles are : the Theravada (school of the 'elders' or foundational vehicle), the Mahayana
( sometimes referred to as 'the Greater Vehicle' because it is based on a larger sense of liberation for ALL- not just for oneself, and which includes the Zen approach ), and the Vajrayana or Diamond-like Vehicle (most often practised in Tibetan -type, and incorporates into itself its own advances, as well as the components of the two before mentioned ).

I personally practise all ~ and am simultaneously not limited to 'vehicles', needing no definitions, in the sky-like way of Great Space. And in deep gratitude, i have teachers from all kinds of walks.

These so called Buddhist'vehicles' are indeed quite markedly different in approach, but essentially, they all share the basics of concentration and compassion.
Each of the main three vehicles build on each other in succesive degrees of altruistic intent.

Besides the concepts adopted by Buddhism- we can really say it's all about universal values. Universals which all beings hold dear, regardless of religion, or any other factors.

All beings wish to love and be love and be loved.

And it is our very nature.

Love.
Love.
Love.

May all beings be well and happy.

Here is Thich Nhat Hahn-
i hope you enjoy ~
