This article is quite basic but provides links for further research. Basically, technology exists, and is used primarily by the goverment
lunatics, to beam to an individual certain frequencies and sounds, even actual voices apparently which suggest to the receiver that he is hearing God's voice commanding him to do just what you'd suspect: change his Depends, kill that "terrorist", etc. Life on this planet becomes increasingly ludicrous. It's hard to believe that anyone really "volunteers" to do this gig :))
