Enlightening Eyebright

The sun, this Leonian day's 'planetary' ruler, has always been associated with vision, for without artificial light, we can only see when it is shining. Many cultures have regarded the solar disk as the eye of a solar divinity, or of an all-seeing deity (Christianity's God may be symbolized by the sun for instance) Another aid to eyesight is the plant known as eyebright or euphrasy, whose astringency is such that it is still used to treat weeping or infected eyes. Eyebright is furthermore said to sharpen one's insight, leading to intellectual and spiritual illumination.
