The Traveler by Dianne/Aswan 6/11/09
Do you feel like a stranger in a strange land?
Do you feel a deep longing to go home?
Do you feel so weary of this life, that you just don't belong?
Do you feel a need to find a place of your very own?
You've traveled distant stars, wandered many years.
You've seen a thousand different lands, forever do you roam.
Traveler, come sit and rest, tell us what you've seen.
If memory would let you, you could write an epic poem.
Tales of wonder, worlds so bright, worlds so vast and different.
Stay awhile, you need to rest, your weary eyes speak volumes.
There is no need, my wandering friend, to journey on and on.
You're welcome here, to stay with us, to share your hard won wisdom.
The things you've seen, lessons learned, from travels far and wide.
Have you found answers to life's questions, and have you found your freedom?
People spend their whole life searching, for the answer to life's meaning.
They travel to the stars and back, to alleviate their boredom.
They waste their youth, they waste their health, always seeking something.
They are only running from the truth, there is no lofty kingdom.
The truth is here, the truth is now, within you, it's always been there.
Stop your running, stop your searching, in your heart there is a rhythm.
The rhythm of the sun and moon, the stars and tides, it's Love that makes you feel alive.
The Joy of Life is in you now, the Truth of the Creator's Love, is your True Freedom.
