Yesterday, september 23rd 2009, a dear friend of mine Derek Martin was sentenced to life in prison without parole for a murder he DID NOT commit. I went to his trial and i saw with my own eyes, the dna results. the judge and both lawyers said they KNOW that Derek did not kill the boy. Things were looking really good for him, and he was supposed to go home on the 22nd. on the 23rd i was running late, and when i arrived, as soon as i turned the corner i see his family in hysterics. it took a minute for me to realize exactly what was going on, and when it hit me it really hit me.I;ve been crying on and off eversince... All of my life ive seen bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people. i understand he may have done some wrong doing in a past life, but IN THIS LIFE he didnt have one sinful bone in his body. Derek has never been in a fight, hes compassionate, funny, sensitive, and a wonderful friend. the world needs more people like him in this world. not even the killer will get as bad of a sentence as him. My dear friend DOES NOT deserve this horrible punishment. He is only 19 years old, he will never grow up to have a family, children, a career, my friend is going to die alone.Thats why im writing this blog to you all, please, pray with me. Lets all send love light hope and peace to Derek Martin in this great time of need. If you are divine, spiritual beings like you claim to be, you will help me. if you dont want to help derek, please help ME! I dont have many friends, but the ones I have I truly love, and i dont want to feel this pain anymore. Please help me pray for an appeal, for him to be freed. Please send him and his family light.I just want my friend back...
