After having spent the last couple of days in a funk (I've reading and thinking too much about things concerning lower, negative energies) I had an important realization this evening.
I was in my political science class, which has become very interesting the more educated I become about 'the powers that be' and everything that goes along with that. The phrase "ignorance is bliss" came up while I was thinking about the vast amount of sleeping, uninformed people out in the world, but also about how it's possible that people (like zen monks) can stay so calm and don't give energy to that which is unfavorable.
I laughed a little to myself, and then it hit me that "ignorance is bliss" is actually a pretty good philosophy: ignorance is bliss-- ignore -ance is bliss.
It isn't about being asleep or ignorant, it's about choosing a higher path of love and letting the undesirable pass by and not allow space for it to get in.
And now that I've realized this, the challenge is in putting it into actions. :)
