If you can think back to your childhood for a second...
Was your mind full of endless chatter? ... most if it meaningless and pointless? Did you cling on to emotional states for longer than their serving purpose?
I look at myself in the mirror and my face tells me all. My skin has lost its luster. I am covered with blemishes. I set out to find the reason for this nonsense. I'm 21, physically fit, eat right, am in school, have a loving family, but I am offset by something. Through my rummaging through spiritual material one thing is clear: Your body is your temple and the state of your temple tells you everything you need to know. So what is my skin telling me?
The mind is stimulated by every little thing in our western society because the society was designed to do so. The logos on clothing, advertising, cell phones, the constant movement of automobiles and what not. There is no stillness anymore unless one is out in nature. Well all of us don't have that luxury and we must understand that we must make our own stillness. For not only is it beneficial to the world by adding to the much needed serenity of our collective consciousness, but it is beneficial to your body. One which, probably like myself, went through the "education system", watched plenty of television, was subjected to external substances, and is messed with the constant frequency problems that powerlines, cellphones, satelites, and other electronics add.
Well I found these things do not need to affect you or me. If one develops sufficient inner techniques to douse the outer stimuli these problems turn into stimulus for the spirit. The body has a cavity for energy storage: these are the organs and the center point is right below the naval. I invite you to intentionally feel good about your organs and your still point in this cavity when something on the outside sets you off into monkey mind chatter or negative emotion. Your body will appreciate it as much as your spirit.
I found these practices by delving into the ancient Chinese traditions and am literally turning these problems into food for the spirit. Just think about all the opportunity you have to cultivate yourself while walking down the street. How many cars will pass you? How much advertising will you see? Why not sneak away into the safest place of all, the inside, and reaffirm your body with positive emotion and store it there. Your surplus builds and... (the rest is up to you because only you decide what to do with your energy)
Many Blessings
