The Rebirthing of ""FLORENCE"" V.I.P ( Vision Impaired Person )
With her ""CURVES""

One Month ago to-day ( 21st of October 2009 ) I became a member of "CURVES" in Southport Queensland 4215
What a day to remember.....
it has given me so much .. in such a short time "Changed my life " in regards to my Fitness & Mobility.. & an overall feeling of 'Wellness'
I arrived for my first Workout as all my other visit had been travelling via taxi using my Guide Dog Sara, & my Wheelie Walker named "Fred""
very important members of my ""Family"" for transportation ....
4 years ago I decided to leave Sydney NSW & join my Daughter Diane & her Family & live on the GOLD COAST ..
I was in recovery mode after an operation for a successful Total Hip Replacement.....
Unfortunately after just a short time here.... on the Magic Gold Coast..
I had a series of events that led to a knee injury a ( Torn Crucial ligament ) & Osteoporosis which required a Total Knee Replacement operation
Say no more><><>< Top that up with "Retinitis Pignamtosis"( RP) or( Tunnel Vision) as my Eye Condition is known ... Medically....
& a long waiting period for the Knee operation: the last 4 years have been
A "Learning" Curve with a Capital 'C '
Now I have a new "CURVE to follow .....Thank you "Curves"

I had not travelled since my Operations without my Guide Dog Sara & my walker "Fred'' doing this 3 times a week to # 1 Olympic Circuit became a an economic decision to embrace it was $45 a week there & back so....

because of my new found strength in my legs ..
after just one week ( 3 workouts) & the support from
The Guide Dog Team ..( & my Bowen Therapy..)
I started to use the long white cane & travel via Bus ( @ no cost) however: it also involved a 9 min walk with some huge traffic Lights to negotiate ( Scary)
Wow ..this was so awesome I felt such a sense of freedom
this new found strength has now infiltrated into all parts of my life.
As a Bowen Therapist , Gestalt Counsellor & Carer of many Human beings in my life
I am so pleased I have found you FOR ME!! FLORENCE!!
