Ya just gotta love this ascension process, dont'cha? It's like Universe is going
to extra lengths to put on a 'good show' right now. Well, not in the weather
department, it's dry as chips out here, and getting worse every day. But there
are an abundance of other little miracles on display.
This morning this gigantic flock of Whistler Ducks landed on the farm behind.
I'm talking REALLY gigantic flock, hundreds of them, well, that's how it looked
anyway. Whistler Ducks are called that because they make this really loud
high pitched sorta whistle sound...and a flock that size makes a whole lotta
noise. I have never, ever, seen Whistler Ducks flock together on dry land before.
They normally group themselves around a dam, or some other source of water.
It was amazing to watch, I hadda go grab my binocs for a really good close
look. The ducks seemed to upset or maybe excite, all the other bird life on the farm.
There were peacocks screeching, geeze honking, the Ibis were there checking it
out and crows were circling above, cawing at all the exticement. Guinea fowl were
running in excited circles, adding their own unique voice to the choir...it was
really something to watch. It looked all just a buncha noise and activity when I
first looked...then looking again, with the binocs...well, it seemed there was
actually some sorta order. I can't tell you WHAT the order was, it didn't reveal
itself to me...but the birds seemed to recognize it. Seems to me the change in
energy of the Planet is affecting the animals first. I've noticed that there's much
more interaction between the birds and us humans lately, all animals in fact seem
to be more interested in us...I can even notice it on our own pets. It's almost
like they are learning our language or something...or perhaps we are learning theirs?
That's the miracle part. Probably wouldn't qualify as a proper miracle under the
cannons of THE CHURCH...but it was a nice little miracle that started my day off just
nicely.
Now, the revolution part. We all seem to use products...we like their convenience,
we are accustomed to using them...and we like the way some products make our life a
bit easier But...products, their marketing, their packaging and the whole way they
present these products needs reassessing. Now it would be good if we stopped using
the products...but some I feel I need/want...such as dishwashing liquid...I LIKE
the suds in my sink. Bar soap is another one I still use...and scouring powder...
you know...like Comet or Ajax, also laundry detergent. My gripe is packaging. The
landfill situation is the same world wide...we simply create too much bloody garbage.
The second is advertising...why do we need to be swamped with all these adverts? If
they create a good product, why not just put it out there and let it stand on it's
merits? The amount of money they spend on advertising could be saved, cut from the
cost of the product...and more could afford to enjoy the product. Soooo...like my
'minor' miracle...I'm suggesting a minor revolution. Here's how it could work. Choose
the products you most like to use...the ones you use over and over again...especially
the ones that require a new container with each purchase...where they don't offer
landfill conscious refill packages. Every product available now...well, at least I
think all...have internet address right on the package...or a 1800 number for customer
comments and complaints. Send each of these manufacturers an email, tell them how much
you have enjoyed using the product, how you have been buying it for years, but can no
longer justify purchasing their product because of...packaging...annyoying adverts
or whatever the issue is with that particular product.
There are 1500 plus members here on LW alone...and guess what, there are only a FEW
manufacturers of all these products...Lever Brothers, Colgate Palmolive, and just a
few others. These few companies are all world wide. Suppose they start getting bombarded
with customer complaints...I like your product, but I can't buy it anymore because
it doesn't come in refill packages, and I'm being responsible for my contribution to
the world's landfills...or whatever your personal gripe may happen to be. AND,
because WE are world wide, the messages we are sending would come from nearly everywhere,
all at once.
We have a voice guys, it's time to start being heard. Stand up...revolt. Yeah, OK, it's
just a little revolution...but hey, it's good practice for the time when we all stand
up and say NO MORE...to a whole lotta stuff. Tell a friend to tell a friend...
We really are the change we've been waiting for. I dunno about anyone else, but I've
been so introspective the past few years I haven't much given a hoot about what went
on around me. Seems we are about to step out...make ourselves seen and heard. Let's
be REAL LOUD, and REAL ANNOYING...let's start requiring change.
