This originally started life as a reply to ZenDeviant on my blog from yesterday...but it got
sorta long and drawn out so I decided to put it here instead. Lazy I guess, figured I did
enough typing.

OK…here’s another take on polytheism…suppose the world’s mythology
is correct and at one time there were a buncha gods around the place.
They lived in division and separation…they had wars, and jealousies,
power and control issues…all the disparate and disharmonious stuff
we Earth humans are experiencing now. At some point they recognized
their basic unity, their oneness with All That Is, and became ONE.
Exactly like humanity is approaching our Oneness.

So now we have a One-of-Many God…but this is a young god, still carrying
around a lot of the old energies, judgment, control, power, let’s just
lump it all together as ego. This god wanted adoration…demanded it.
If folks didn’t love him enough, he brought out his smiting and such.
He tested folks…most notably poor ole Job…wanted proof of that
adoration…demanded proof.

So as this young god grows and develops he discovers he has these
negative energies within himself…he has to do a whole buncha cleansing
and releasing…you know just like we are. This young god begins to get
a grip on what’s true and his view changes…he begins to realize that
love is the energy that powers being. Starts to get a whole new slant
on being. Finds another whole way of being…becomes self-realized.

So he looks around at his Creation and sees that things are not all
they could be…part of his being…the part that is material Creation
hasn’t gotten the new message of love and hope. What to do?

Well, for one thing I reckon he shortened the human lifespan. Started
closing down the length of our incarnations. Old Testament folks lived
for hundreds and hundreds of years, but even with those long lifetimes
they weren’t seeing reality. So perhaps God/Universe decided, hmmm…
maybe they need to take a break from physicality have some time ‘in between’
to help them remember who they truly are. Lifetimes shortened, and in
between, our souls returned to a place where we DO remember who
and what we truly are…a brush up course sorta. We don’t consciously
remember these brush up courses, but when we next incarnate, we
carry back with us just that little bit of remembering. Over many,
many incarnations…and brush up courses…we finally enter one lifetime
when we DO remember…and that’s now. It’s not that we just wake up
one day and AH HA the mysteries of Universe are revealed. NO WAY.

In exactly the same way all those gods of earlier times had to come to
a recognition of their Oneness…humanity has to go through the same
‘battles’ the old gods did…judgment, acceptance, integrating ego alla
that same stuff…but instead of being played out on the stage of the
Planet, or even the Universe, it all takes place in each of our embodied
selves.

So here we are, thousands of years later…still working on achieving
unity and oneness…but now something ELSE is happening at the same
time. Mother Earth has, at this point, received enough of whatever
planets need for their own personal ascension I think that is the
energy of love. Enough human beings have awakened and become aware enough
to realize what our Planet REALLY is, and love her in a way we never did
before…which empowers her to make her ascension into Oneness…AND
because we ARE the Earth…the solar system, galaxy and Universe, she
is gonna carry us right along with her.

All that’s left for us to do is to achieve that Oneness…with Earth, with
God/Universe. The awakening of humanity into our most natural
state, ONE with all that is.

Then, in my belief, when humanity, Universe and all of material Creation
moves into Oneness…well our God/Universe becomes FULLY realized and
takes his/its next step in evolution. I don’t guess we can even imagine
what that might be from here…perhaps the 7 material universes
join into one multi-verse or something along those lines. Guess we will
find out…well, at least if we can get this ascension accomplished.
