~~~The Medicine Buddha is a deep, translucent lapis blue that colors his face and body.
He is a powerful cosmic buddha who manifests the healing essence of all enlightened beings.
Meditating fervently on this buddha with a mind made pure by faith and devotion, is acknowledged
by followers of the Buddhist path to be the best way to cure disease.

~~~Such meditation is medicine of a divine kind, the sort of cure where the side-effects - a
heightened sense of peace and tranquility; a feeling of real healing that engages the body, mind
and spirit - are a bonus. There simply is no greater or better cure.

~~The Medicine Buddha is said to be so powerful that anyone just hearing his name - Bhaishajyaguru -
and reciting his mantra will never be reborn to the lower realms.

~~~The Medicine Buddha brings enormous happiness - a feeling that is contagious - so when you meditate
on his deep-blue image you are soon surrounded by a pervasive sense of joy, fearlessness, and
deepening contentment.

~~~The Medicine Buddha's blessings are cosmic, transcending all lifetimes - past, present and future.
When you faithfully perform his meditation, not only will you be cured of all the ailments of life,
but of future lives as well. And you will gain precious human rebirth once more, thereby enabling
you to continue with your Dharma practice and progress on your spiritual journey.
