Daily Devotions

Not the normal you think of when you think of Daily Devotions. In this exercise, you will be cleansing yourself and your surroundings of stress and negativity. You will be blessing all those around you and yourself with good health and vibrations/energy. You will release any burdens you may be carrying causing the negative inside you to reflect on the outside. This exercise shows your devotion to yourself, your loved ones, and your Mother Earth. It is a devotion to be a better person, releasing the negativity and enjoying the positive that life has to offer.

Mornings:

Everyday, start your day by blessing the environment around you and your loved ones. Thank Mother Earth for her bounty that she provides to sustain you, the air you breath, the water you drink, the food you eat.

Start out in a standing position, place your hands together with palms facing each other, your thumbs at your chin and your fingers touching your forehead. Bow from the waist, “Namaste”. Stand straight up again.

Lower yourself to your knees so that you are sitting on the backs of your feet, bow again from the waist, “Namaste”.

Place your hands, palms facing upwards, on your thighs. Take 3 deep breaths, letting each one out slowly. Close your eyes and relax. Feel every muscle in you relaxing, all of the stress and negativity leaving your body.

Once you have stilled your mind and released all stress and negativity, place your hands palms down on the floor or ground (if you prefer to do this outside when the weather permits) so that the thumbs touch and the two index fingers touch. Bow forward from the waist placing your chin against the thumbs (the base of the triangle shape) and your forehead against the forefingers (the top of the triangle shape).

“Thank you Mother Earth for all you give. The air I breath, the water I drink, the food I eat are all great gifts. Thank You. I surround myself and my loved ones with good vibrations and energy. I surround all the beings of this Earth with love and peace. May my family and I have good health and good fortunes this day. Namaste.”

Raise yourself up into a sitting position once again, eyes closed, hands with palms upwards on your thighs. Meditate on the good health surrounding you and the good vibrations and energy in the form of a bright clear white light. See that white light expanding to include your loved ones and all of the surroundings in your environment. Everything through the love of this white light is cleansed of stress and negativity, all is harmonious with the natural vibrations of the Earth.

Again place your hands palms together with the thumbs at your chin and fingers at your forehead, bow forward, “Namaste.” Rise to your feet, standing straight. Bow forward and again, “Namaste.”

Evening:

Stand straight, place your hands together again and bow forward, “Namaste.” Lower yourself again so you are sitting on the back of your feet. Place your hands palms upraised on your thighs. Take 3 deep breaths, letting each one release slowly from you, close your eyes.

Relax, feel all of the muscles relax inside of you. Feel the weight of the day, all of the stress, and all of the negativity you may have picked up throughout the day flow from your body. Release it out of you and your environment. It has no place inside of you or in your home. As you begin to relax into a meditative state, place your hands on the floor or the ground with the pinkies touching and palms upwards.

Bow forward and let your face relax into your hands. “Thank you Mother Earth for the day you have given me, I honor you and all that you give. I am one of your many children. May my loved ones and I continue to receive your gifts of health and good vibrations. Namaste.”

As you raised up, keeping your hands about an inch from your body, run them down from the top of your body, over the front of you, down over your legs and lift your arms, hands facing upwards out from your sides. Hold them there, and feel the energy swirling around them. Tilt your head back, opening up your heart chakra and mind. Keeping your eyes close, envision the good vibrations and energies flowing into your body. The love you possess flowing out to surround all of those around you and your environment.

Relax your head back forwards, stand up again. And again, place your hands palms together, thumbs at your chin, fingers at your forward, bow forward, “Namaste.”
