In the new world that we are about to co-create I believe we need to be able to make distinctions between legal laws and moral laws. We know that each person has a conscience that guides their moral behavior and that some rules are necessary for a smoothly running society. The laws that we stop on red and go on green on our streets make sense and I believe we all have little problem agreeing with them as the consequences of not following these laws lead to accidents and death. One thing about the United States that is one of it's strengths is the many religions we have in this country and the theoretical freedom of religion (although at this time you cannot be a "legal" religion without approval from the powers that be). I believe that whenever a government needs to have 24 hours surveillance on each citizen to uphold it's laws on morality that not only do we become frightened sheep but we lose our ability to communicate with our conscience and make the right decisions. History has repeatedly proven that any time a moral law is imposed on citizens who do not agree with the law it usually makes the situation worse. Examples are laws against: alcohol, homosexuality, abortion, etc. I know that this is a fuzzy area but would like to know what others think. Thank you, donnalee
