Lesson Six
Astral Travel
Astral Traveling. Hopefully with this lesson you will learn to consciously astral travel. Consciously astral traveling refers to your astral body traveling and being able to remember it when awake and control what you do or where you go when your doing it.
I hope by the time you have gotten to this lesson that you have succeeded in the other lessons. At least part way, so that you may begin to attempt consciously trying to astral travel. Remember in the first lesson with meditation where you felt like you had a second body, slightly out of the physical one? Well, that is your spirit body, your soul, your astral body. What you are going to be aiming for is releasing that astral body so it may explore the world around you without you ever physically leaving where you are.
Don't get this confused with remote viewing now, remote viewing is done while awake, astral traveling is done while asleep. I find it far more easy to astral travel then to remote view, some may find it far easier to remote view then to astral travel. Again, personal preference and comfort level comes into play.
The first thing you are going to do is meditate. While meditating you are going to commune with your astral body. Informing it that it is free to leave and investigate it's surroundings, but you want to remember it.
Remembering it is the key, and being able to control it once you are able to remember doing it makes it a conscious decision and ability. You may astral travel all the time and just think its a dream or you may not remember it at all. The spirit does not stay in the physical body while your sleeping all the time, it would be so boring to the higher self, the higher self does not require sleep.
Now back to the meditation your doing, you are communing with your astral body, your higher self. Once you have made this connection and spoken with yourself as to what is going to happen. I hope you are tired, because your going to lay down and go to sleep, instead of meditating right at that point before sleep, your going to go completely asleep. While your laying there trying to fall asleep, try lifting up.
Not your physical body lifting, try lifting the astral body, like attempting to sit up or just even float up without actually moving the physical form. You should be able to feel a slight pull, or a heaviness. If your eyes start to open, do not close them or blink repeatedly. It is probably your astral body seeing through the lids of the physical.
Let it happen once you start to feel the pull or heaviness. Relax and fall asleep. Once you notice your room around you, try looking back, you should see yourself still laying there, fast sleep. Go over to a mirror if you have one in your room, you should feel as if you just float there or appear there, and look into it, you see yourself. Move around the room and tell yourself your going to remember this.
Relax the astral form and let it do as it wants now, going back into the body possibly. When you wake up, you should remember doing this. As your waking up you might feel tied down, or like something just hit you, or twice your normal size like an elephant feeling, a numbness, you might hear a static noise, you might not be able to move at all. Do not panic, it is simply that your astral body is not completely back in the physical body, relaxing as much as possible will help to let it happen.
Keep a journal of this, anything you can remember from the dream state or traveling state. The better you get at remember and getting yourself to move around, the better you will get at this. Eventually, you'll be able to go anywhere in the world, making the plan of where before you go to sleep and doing so while your astral body is out. It may seem as if a dream, but more then likely its you traveling. Be careful if you sleep with another person though, sometimes the astral body comes slamming back in to the physical body and you might shake the bed or move it and wake them up. If it ever gets to the point where its like your bombing your physical body and it becomes dangerous to those around you or yourself if you knock yourself out of bed, its time to tell yourself not to do it and to slow down.
Conscious astral travel may come naturally to you, it may come hard to you, you may not be able to do it at all. But trying something new never hurt anyone, attempting to do it is not going to hurt you. You may work at it once and have it down pat, or it may take you years to get efficient at it. Its not something that is on a time limit, it is just raising yourself to the point of being able to do it consciously, because everyone does it even if they don't remember it, controlling it is another thing though.
