Nekhbet-Mother-Mut is the wise magician crone, the alchemist who weaves and blends the ingredients required to prepare the way for you, so that you can be informed. A strong guide and protector, she is also the one who holds the key to your DNA memory of how to enter the mysteries. You are being alchemically activated by the sacred elders, the wisdom keepers, so that you can begin to remember as you embark on a journey to reclaim your true self.

Also, in the external world, a grandmother or some other elder or teacher may show up in your life to guide you. This could come in the form of a two-legged or human, or it could be a tree in an old growth forest, one of the stone people, or an animal totem. They are all our elder brothers and sisters. Honor your guides with all your heart.

Nekhbet-Mother-Mut is the most revered and ancient grand dame of Egypt. She is the wise old crone and honored elder of the pantheon of neteru and comes to us in this work as a blend of the two vulture goddesses, Mut and Nekhbet. As with all neteru, she must be approached with respect if you wish to gain permission to enter into these sacred mysteries.

It’s unwise to trifle with this goddess, for she is a disciplined taskmaster who assists the initiate in making the decision to engage fully with this process of transformation. Once you’ve committed to moving forward, her loving watchful eye is always upon you to ensure safe passage through the portals of shamanic initiation that must be crossed during all transitions in life.

16. Wadjet ~ Life Force Energy: Purification/Divine Awakener

Your ego may be undergoing a transformation or an adjustment that will balance your energies so that you can handle the power of this goddess. You may be experiencing a potent purification process that can express itself as a kundalini awakening. Be prepared for a major shift in consciousness leading you from ignorance and greed to a more enlightened awareness.

You may wish to make a written inventory of whatever comes to mind that you have been ignoring. Note anything you’ve been acting out through inappropriate hunger or addictive ways. These are now ready to disintegrate and dissolve as you shift to a more enlightened way of being. If you’re hitting the wall or bottoming out in a particular situation, you can call on Wadjet to help you break through to the other side.

Wadjet, the great cobra serpent, is ancient. She is closely associated with Nekhbet-Mother-Mut. She was a fierce protector of children, and later of pharaohs. From her position on the living uraeus crown, she spit fire at pharaoh’s enemies; you will find her upon Sekhmet’s diadem as well. Wadjet spirals her way into our lives, opening and clearing our chakra centers with her kundalini (or life force) energy. She is a daunting and sometimes fearsome presence. When this Divine Awakener moves through us, she purifies our motives and gives us the gift of humility, the most important characteristic that she looks for as we approach her.

17. Sothis ~ Star Consciousness: Generosity/Bodhisattva

You are being asked to embody your star consciousness. The star of your being is rising. Use this as an opportunity to be seen in the world and to emerge as a conscious teacher of something your life has taught you. You have something wonderful to share.

Sothis is the stellar manifestation of Isis; like Isis, she is a pure channel for divine love and wisdom. Sothis is also Sirius, the Dog Star, which is the brightest star in the sky. Sothis/Isis follows her husband Osiris (as the constellation Orion) into the Underworld when it disappears from view for seventy days, the number of days for the funerary rites in ancient Egypt. As she appears again, rising in the eastern sky after her sojourn in the Underworld, her presence heralds the coming inundation, the New Year in the ancient calendar of Egypt.

As Sothis rises in the night sky, she pours forth her spiritual essence, her stellar energies, and her compassionate wisdom upon all beings. Through her willingness to offer us these precious gifts and her guidance, we are elevated to a greater understanding of our own soul’s purpose and the reasons we are here on Earth at this time. Sothis is the star of humanity and a true bodhisattva, calling forth the best in each of us and inspiring us to step into our greater selves and offer our own unique gifts back to the world. 18. Khonsu ~ Lunar Energies: Divine Timing/Blood Mysteries

The time is now to move forward in some situation that you have been hesitant about. It is also a favorable time for travel. Whatever movement is being called for, you may want to harness the power of ritual. Create a communion ceremony in honor of the divine being that you are. Acknowledge the journey you have completed that has prepared you for the new phase you’re entering. You can do this spiritually or bring it to the physical plane by setting up an altar with food that represents the body of Earth and drink that represents the blood of the divine neteru. If you are in need of healing, honor the source of your disease, injury, or situation for the teaching it has brought you as you take in the holy sacraments.

Khonsu is a lunar god who appears with as many faces as the phases of the moon.

He brings spiritual nourishment to our bodies and souls. He knows the exact timing in which we are ready to receive communion and "eat the flesh of the Gods" so that we may become as one of them. Khonsu works on our behalf to fertilize our minds and hearts with the seeds of our own divinity. He engages the power of the moon to bring forth the healing rains that cleanse our old belief systems, and he renews our DNA at a cellular level. He governs the tides of the oceans and human emotions. Khonsu is a great healer, said to be able to exorcise demons. He does this by honoring, feasting, and celebrating the diseases, and they go away happy.

Where conflict and opposition exist in your life, she can bring transformation and restore you to peace.

Sekhmet is sowing the seeds of your higher sacred purpose in your heart.

Sekhmet’s name means "the power," or "the mighty one." She is a lioness goddess, the feminine face of the sun—feared by many for her destructive capacities, yet also renowned as the quintessential healing goddess of Egypt.

Sekhmet brings the fire that fuels alchemical transformation. As the consort of Ptah, she is the spark that ignites the process of manifestation. She is a staunch guardian and protector of truth and justice and in that capacity has a prominent presence on Earth at this time. She shows us her fierce compassion as she assists us in healing the dual nature within.
