Channeler:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. By that we mean that not everybody will like the way you dance. Does that mean you should rob yourself of the joy of dancing for a comment that may never come or an opinion that should not matter? Lack of talent should never stop you from doing something you enjoy. While practice does make perfect, or at least better, most of you know that being good at something and being passionate about something are two different things. Sometimes the two qualifiers apply to the same activity, let Us say cooking, but not always. Still, when something brings you joy, not being good at it should not prevent you from doing it. For instance, the Messenger sings mostly off key. While it does happen that she can hit all the notes of an entire song, most of the time it is truly hit or miss. She has a satisfactory singing voice, but extraordinary it is not. Facts she is well aware of, but that do not stop her from singing in her car, at home or at a show. She knows very well that she will most likely never become a professional singer of any style, well, unless the entire world becomes tone deaf (smile), but she will keep on singing for her own enjoyment. In fact, it actually cracks her up when she misses a note by a mile. The key is knowing what can be reasonably be pursued as a career or serious hobby and what should remain a pleasurable pastime. Lucky for the Messenger, being a professional singer was never a dream of hers, so it was very easy for her to accept she is an awful singer. However, that is not always the case. An example that comes to the Messenger's mind is the vast amount of would-be candidates to talent reality shows. Some of them were not blessed to have friends and family be honest in their evaluation, others dreams were so intense that they refused to believe other people's candid opinions about their talent or chances of success. A passion or love does not always translate as a career. Yes, We are aware that this is often a very painful realization for most of you. Know that this is absolutely okay. You can still pursue it, dedicate it a lot of your time, just differently. Also know that it is not always for lack of talent. Sometimes the reality of an occupation or field does not fit with other life wishes. Being a chef or a hairdresser is hard work. Often the days are long, and the pay is poor, for instance. You can still prepare great meals for the people you love and cut your friend's hair for a reasonable price while holding a different day job. You carry within you many aspects or selves. Finding the appropriate outlet for each one can take some time. Give yourself that gift to express all that you are. And fulfilling your life mission or life work is not always how you make a living. That should not stop you from getting started. It may be slow to launch or be more occasional than regular, but doing even a tiny bit of it is way more than what a lot of people tend to accomplish. And you never know... You may carry out of your life mission part-time or in your free time for a few years or more, and you wake up one day and realize doing it full-time is possible. Such things do happen when you listen to your heart and are guided by it - as opposed to being led by ambition and high expectations. Still, you have to be willing to listen to your heart and see the areas in which you are gifted and put in the work. And most often than not, others will hint at your true purpose before you see it in yourself. It is amazing just how many reluctant masters there are in this world. When you find your passion or life mission, making some sacrifices, rearranging your schedule to make it happen becomes the only way to go. Even if your friends and family do not understand why you started getting up at 5 am or why you suddenly stopped watching television. You take the time where you find it. The thing is, when something or someone matters to you, all the time dedicated to the activity or person feels more like love than work. It fuels your life. Gives you wings. Moreover, instead of finding excuses to avoid doing something, you come up with a list of a thousand reasons why you absolutely have to do it. Please be aware that the world - or your town - may not be ready to accept the gifts that you have to offer them at the present time, but that they may seek you a year or ten years from now. And even if you answer to your higher calling as an artist, healer, teacher... almost entirely on your own, that is only a few people come to you or things never seem to take off - as in reach a big (or any) audience, your dedication has a huge impact on this planet. Remember that most of you are unable to see the snowball effect created by the time and energy you dedicate to your life mission. For instance, you do not see the sparkles of light you emanate just walking down your street. And that touches everything and everyone around you! You may never be recognized or famous in an Earthly fashion, but let Us tell you, there will be a great celebration in the spirit realm when you return home! Knowing being who you truly are makes a difference is enough. If you were committed to your craft when no one else paid much attention to it, you will be a Master at it when they recognize your value and it is your time to shine. There is answering the call, and answering when you are being called. This is All. Much Light and Love to Everyone. © 2011-2012 Gaia's Daughter of Truth.
