It is the New Moon in Libra, the time to balance and harmonize your
progress with "being in the now" and all that grounding that you've accomplished
during the Virgo New Moon. This work was deeply imprinted during the Fall
Equinox, which means your ability to be very present will be strong until
the Winter Solstice. My friends, colleagues, and family are my window on the
world. During this last month, many people told me about their profound
personal changes, shifts in mentality that were very much in alignment with
the fall's positive and formative astrological fields; we are really evolving
now. My window on the world is also global. I will investigate my dual
perspective before reading the New Moon in Libra because this lunation is
going to clean up many collective issues that have been blocking human
progress. We need a firm sense of where we are now so that we can each solidify
and deepen ourselves based on all the amazing progress we've made during Day

Gerry and I were teaching in Sweden for two weeks, and then we spent nine
days in Scotland. Before we left, I analyzed and posted the Virgo New Moon
and Fall Equinox readings, which I thought were quite disconcerting. I
couldn't imagine what these formative influences would create in the world! I
was grateful to be out exploring the world near the mid-line at this time.
Sometimes I think the Pleiadians put us in the right place at the right
time!
I took full advantage of my shamanic gifts and dedicated both Activations
and a global peace ceremony to world peace. One of the most moving moments
occurred during a peace circle in Gothenburg soon after the equinox with a
peace group we worked with two years ago. During the long silent
meditation, I saw a 6D geometrical sphere of light (100 fee in diameter) encompass
all the people, and several others also saw it. This sphere of light came to
us while the Nobel Committee was deliberating on this year's Peace Prize,
and the first Activation in Stockholm occurred close to the Nobel
Committee's headquarters.
Notice that in my Fall Equinox reading, I suggested that the time has come
to identify the themes of the Saturn/Uranus oppositions, even though they
have been quite invisible in the outside world. It is hard to see them
because Uranus is in Pisces, so our changes are tending to be personal and
individualized rather than collective; unusual mass movements are not how the
changes are happening. To identify what these oppositions are creating,we
have to observe the changes in individuals. Taking an outrageous stab at what
may be going on in the minds of many people, I said that Obama himself is
a theme of these oppositions (since he was elected on the day of the first
one), while "the anger is coming from the conservative right in America
this time." But, how could one man be a theme, and if that were true, how
would the conservative right deal with that? Turns out, this is an essential
issue for the US.
Because of the potent Triple Conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune
during the summer and fall, multidimensional files are really opening now. My
New Moon reading last month anticipated this breakthrough, and people have
been telling me that they feel bigger (their auras are larger) when they take
action. I am quite amazed by how this newly rich field of consciousness is
expressing itself through us; the last lunation was a time of miracles.
As most readers know, according to The Mayan Code, the Galactic Underworld
(1999-2011) is when our species will reenter the Universe as cosmic citizens
once we have created peace on Earth. So, in the Fall Equinox global peace
ceremony in Sweden, I stated that Obama had taken the big step into peace
by canceling the Missile Shield in Poland. For most Swedes, this was a
no-brainer and a lot of them recognized the importance of this brave move. But I
put it into our circle to make sure we all registered Obama's courageous
and wise decision.
When I got back, I'd forgotten that I said in last month's New Moon
reading, "Higher forces flowing through each person can instantaneously override
the evil forces that have quarantined Earth in the Universe." This seems to
be true because of the Triple Conjunction's remarkable ability to
transmute each person individually. Then when Pluto went direct on September 11,
outer collective patterns began to dominate our world again. Yet, the most
astonishing new mode in this mystery play is that the Nobel Committee crowned
Obama as the theme of the Saturn/Uranus oppositions when they shockingly
gave him the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. Immediately, the collective Plutonic
forces flowed right through him as the conservative right bitched and moaned
and the liberals hemmed and hawed. It was obvious Obama didn't welcome it,
since only a fool would welcome being the one to channel this flow. "Many
are called, few are chosen".
This may seem to be off-subject, but nothing is going to make sense during
2009-10 without decoding the Saturn/Uranus oppositions, and most
astrologers are silent about it. Here is another principle that works which I
follow: If most of what I predicted about a transit is fairly accurate, then I
take the rest of what I see very seriously. So, I will offer one more comment
about last month's readings. In the Virgo New Moon reading, I noted, "we
may be experiencing a temporary rise in American aggression right now that
will just collapse when Mars goes into Leo in mid-October" (Oct. 16). This
is because the US is a Cancer-dominated country that tends to be very
aggressive when Mars is in Cancer, which by the way is one of the things that
most confuses Europeans, like Why?
Many if not most Europeans find Obama's aggressive stance in Afghanistan
and Pakistan to be contradictory, ultra-defensive, and even inexplicable.
Many wonder if he is just a Global Elite puppet in this regard. Still, in the
face of his behavior, the Nobel just laid a strong peace agenda on him
whether he likes it or not! So, ending this discussion, I think he just got a
global kick in the butt to fulfill his true promise, especially with Mars
now in Leo approaching his Leo Sun. Meanwhile, don't forget the second part
of the equation-the conservative right in America. Obama and the US are in
for a wild ride through summer 2010, when Saturn opposes Uranus for the
last time in Libra/Aries. My homework is done on these oppositions, so now we
turn to the 2009 New Moon in Libra-the time to balance and harmonize the
field before Scorpio gets in the driver's seat and trashes anything that's a
lie.
The New Moon in 25 Libra trines the Triple Conjunction and forms a close
head of a T-square to the lunar nodes in 26 Capricorn/Cancer. We begin with
the T-square to the nodes to get a sense of direction. At this point, the
lunar North Node has been in Capricorn since late August, and we can
determine its influence. While the North Node was in Aquarius (Dec. 2007-Aug.
2009) heady idealism reigned even in the face of the financial meltdown. Now,
under the hard influence of Capricorn wisdom, "getting real" is becoming the
focus and we are all preparing for a hard winter. For those following the
Mayan Calendar, Night Six of the Galactic Underworld opens soon, when there
will tend to be backlashes to our accomplishments of Day Six. Maybe this
tough environment approaching is one of the reasons the Nobel Committee took
such a risk to their own credibility?
The New Moon square to the lunar nodes means this lunation is a karmic
crisis that calls the world to face dark choices and make them, in order to
balance the agendas of each country and group in light of the greater whole.
As always, how? The trine to the New Moon from the Triple Conjunction
(especially Neptune in the tightest orb) is the key, as it has been all summer.
The world's spiritual traditions and the aching in the heart of each person
are dominant now, and the petty greed of power mongers is experiencing its
last gasp; they can't even afford war any more. The Triple Conjunction in
general says that as the world balances amidst the great crisis, space is
being created for a new planetary order based on cosmic reentry; what is in
the heart of each person determines the outcome! It has to be that way
because we have free will as our birthright.
Again, let's be practical, how! Uranus is the magician and he does not
fail us now. Uranus retrograde closely quincunxes the New Moon, which means
this nutty jester in Pisces with no boundaries promises wacky surprises,
upside-down events, and shadow boxing galore. Since spending for irrational
wars takes precedent over basic human needs, and legal drugging is the big
global game, indeed we should be having some surprises this month. If there
is any doubt that these crazy priorities are about to be reordered, Mars in
early Leo quincunx Pluto in early Capricorn ends the argument: the most
out-of-whack values are about to take a big hit.
The heavy formational powers of Pluto in Capricorn were temporarily
sidetracked from April 2009 until now because Pluto was retrograde, but the
monster from the deep is back to get his due. Pluto is wonderful because he
demands truth and integrity if you want to survive, and so in Capricorn he gets
each person to be more honest. Capricorn requires good order, no waste,
and hard choices, yet this sign can be very warm and sensual when integrity
is the basis of life. Profligate spending and shallow views of life can't
hold up during Pluto in Capricorn, so a long reckoning has begun that will
not stop. Mars in Leo quincunx newly-direct Pluto is the horn from Hades, and
you will be surprised by quick changes that defy past reason. Do not
personally worry because Mars in Leo strengthens your heart and your courage as
the giants fall. Mars in Leo sweetly sextiles Saturn conjunct Venus, so
regardless of the antics of the tyrants, the songs of love will be sung.
Saturn still opposes Uranus, but they are separating for a while, so now
we notice that Saturn will go into Libra October 29 until October 2012 (with
a short visit back into Virgo during April to July 2010). The excellent
direction and ordering by Saturn in Virgo is going out, and I expect Saturn
in Libra to be a big wakeup call. Saturn vacillates in Libra and struggles
for direction, yet he also brings forth justice and equality. If you lack a
sense of direction in your personal life, and/or are out of balance with
the needs of others, this is worth looking at. I think Saturn in Libra is
going to expose the weak financial underpinnings of the Western world, and it
will weaken systems based on domination, such as banks, corporations, and
the military. Watch events in late October when Saturn moves into Libra
right before the Full Moon in Taurus.
Saturn/Venus are squaring Pluto in early Capricorn, which may suggest some
deep discomfort with old patterns during this New Moon that will build and
deepen as Saturn moves into his exact square with Pluto on November 15.
Many astrologers including myself are looking at the building cardinal
squares of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto in July 2010, and this force really
begins when Saturn squares Pluto in November. There will be great pressure
for reform based on fairness and truth, and structures that resist this
will fall like dominoes. This is the upper square after the Saturn/Pluto
conjunctions of 1981-83, and their oppositions in 2001-02, so maybe the truth
about 9/11 will be revealed so that the US can stop fighting everybody else
in the world?
This is a deep and thoughtful New Moon, which encourages us to go into our
hearts and find peace and love. It is a time to work on yourself, since
the only thing you can change is you. Enjoy the falling leaves!
