There Are No Healers, Only Assistants
While yesterday’s message resonated and felt good, part of me worried. I understood it wasn't saying not to look to others for help, but I thought of those who might get discouraged with yet another “You have all your own answers” message. I mostly worried that some would think it was saying to reach out was maybe a weakness or a wrong move. I know when I was in the depths of my own healing, I would sometimes get pissed with that answer. Matter of fact I can think of what a massage therapist said to me one time too many. (Grrrr…): “The consciousness that got you here, is not the same consciousness that will get you where you want to be.” “Like duh,” I thought to myself. I am hoping for more clarity in the message You Are Your Own Best Friend, for others who may be feeling like they have had enough of the “go within” stuff; more of an explanation about the “looking for help” part.
The message was never about not asking for help. We would never suggest that you not reach out, for in Connecting you heal one another.
What we were saying, and are always saying, is that no one outside of yourself will have your answers. No one outside of yourself has the ability to “heal” you. Can you imagine if others had such power over you? We understand, that during your darkest and loneliest moments you would hope to find another with that “power,” but deep within your core, that is not what you are looking for.
What you are looking for, and what is the “healing factor” is a person, place or thing that will ASSIST you in your healing. What you are actually looking for is an environment (person, place or thing) that provides you with the safety you need at times, in order to go as deep within Self as needed to heal.
It is not an easy task to be vulnerable. Listen again, as we did not say “it is not an easy task to SHOW vulnerability,” but instead “to BE vulnerable." Both showing and being are not easy, yet some are not aware of how frightened they are of being vulnerable let alone doing so in front of others.
For too long you have been taught it is a sign of weakness. Those who attempt to live their lives, “wearing hearts on sleeves” as you say, are not only ridiculed, but at times shunned. It takes the heart of a warrior and of a survivor to continue to show each and every “color” of the “prism” that they Are. It is when the Light shines through an unhidden "prism," that another is activated into BURSTS of their own colors.
You have heard, “The meek shall inherit the earth.” How many times have you wondered how the “weak” would "inherit" anything? How many times have you wondered what that truly meant?
“The meek shall inherit the Earth” for in embracing your smallness and softness, as much and as easily as you embrace your bigness and your courage, you will indeed inherit all that is rightfully yours.
