Powerful Energy Flow in My Right Foot

Lately I have been getting powerful energy flows in my right foot usually when I meditate or relax, when this happens I'll put it on the ground and the intensity goes down. My friend also experiences this except he says his bones actually shift.
Could anyone shed light on this?
