My son has announced that he does not want to eat meat an longer. I've been vegetarian for years, but my husband and children have always eaten meat, and I prepare a good majority of the meals. It doesn't surprise me in the least that Logan has made this decision, I could tell for him it was just a matter of time. I did however think we would be going this route a little later on, like 11-12 years old.

While I totally support his choice, I also want to ensure that his growing body gets what it needs and that we have a good variety of recipes to choose from. He is very tall for his age, but very thin build. I do have to really push him to try new foods, and this issue does concern me as well. I told him that I would help him in anyway I can (mostly he want's me to inform him of where the meat is an how to avoid it) but I also told him that his part in this is making sure to be open to trying new foods.

I would love any advice on books or websites geared towards the younger vegetarian. All advice warmly welcomed.

Blessings,
Di
