The people of the world deserve better. Sure, in the West, we want for little. But the majority of mankind lives in abject poverty. They are victims of other people's greed, including our own. Money (and the "things" that come with it) turn men into monsters. Most of the world are mere pawns in an ever-expanding game of profit-privateering.
I've recently been refining some ideas that will eventually lead to a world without greed, poverty, famine, crime, disease, etc. Sounds impossible? Sounds like Heaven? Well...it should be...that is exactly what the Earth should be...paradise!
The social laws and morals would be ingrained in the Earth's people on the basis of the rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. But in reality, there wouldn't be much need for "laws" per se, because the New Earth is self-governing, self-restraining, self-monitoring,with each individual thinking of others as they think of themselves.
Our current economic and political models do not embrace the ideals that we hold so dear: liberty, justice, the right to life, the right to the pursuit of happiness. In fact, they are antithetical. The New Earth will function without money. Yet we will retain the incentive to strive further and higher than our predecessors. We will work hard for ourselves and the common good. Yes...we will be rewarded. Without money, where is the incentive? That's the key! Why would anyone want to go through the years of hard work, discipline, and stress of learning to be a doctor, when they could have everything they want even if they are a mailman? That's the KEY! Time would replace money as the incentive for work. And time is the one thing that we all have the same amount of! We all have 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, etc. Hereafter it gets a little more complex. I must lay out the framework in which this new system will operate to make it both equitable and functional/practical.
My plan was to come up with the typical book proposal and then pitch it to a publisher, trying to convince him/her of how much profit they can make off such an idea. But that is hypocrisy at its finest! How can I reconcile an idea which seeks to END the current economic and political systems as we know them, with turning a profit for some mega-corporation whose job it is is to monopolize the marketplace of ideas? I cannot.
This is my appeal to you! Ideally, I hope that you will fund this project: fund the writing, collating, publishing, marketing, and dispensing of the high ideals presented within. It is after all, a book and an idea for you, the people. Should it not be by you as well? Will you please help with this project?
I intend to have the book finished and ready for publishing as soon as the funds are available. I will then travel the country (and hopefully, the world) selling this book to those that can afford it (to fund further copies, expenses, and subsidies) and giving it to those who cannot.
I often flip on the TV and see televangelist raising HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars in a single HOUR! Can we not do the same to help save the world from ourselves? We need only a fraction of what those people manage to get in an hour...an HOUR!!! To any and all who donate, I shall send a copy for your approval. But time is short. We must get going before mankind does irreversible damage to us all and the planet.
We can live in Paradise. We can live in and on a New Earth. We can provide for all! We can take care of all! No amount of giving is too small, whatever you can afford...even if it's a single dollar. Help me to help us help the world. We don't have to live this way. We are people. We deserve clean water, plenty of healthy food, good medicine, and solid shelter. All of us deserve these things...not just those who can "afford it."
