I am new to all of this. I have a Masters degree in Theology from a Roman Catholic institution. All of these new things I have been learning lately all feel good and seem right. Things like Reiki, reincarnation, etc. But I know that some people refer to the "new agers" as navel gazers, i.e., it's all about themselves. In my theology classes one thing I learned was the test of a good spiritual practice, and I believe these are spiritual practices, is that it transforms you into a more loving person - the final test is love. What always comes to mind is hearing a well known theology professor in a speech say that one day his college age daughter came to him and said that she wanted to learn about Wicca and what he thought of it. He told her, "I won't take Wiccans seriously until they open a soup kitchen." In other word, reaching out, and showing love in manner mandated by Jesus. Any thoughts on any of this?
